Well, Sophia is now home - William has had a major breakdown and is now on the sofa, another dose of calpol safely inside him having a drink. All better. Sophia is recovering from him attacking her with a pen (arghhh) but seems happy enough writing in her 'diary'.

I've just been reading random acts of kindness websites and feel all inspired. however, the house is not that inspiring - oh well :)

    Hi all,

Well, house is looking better tonight - OH had huge go at me (all stemmed from me ringing him shouting at him for washing a top that had the CHEQUE from my dad in the pocket - ARGHHHH - it wasn't even in the washing basket and he never does washing) about was I trying to make a point by not doing any housework and just letting things get back to 'how they were' (ie when I was really depressed earlier int he year and we were having all our problems). Thing is, I don't think it was that bad - hasn't taken me long to do a quick surface tidy - will do more this weekend. Have a whole load of stuff I must ebay on sunday as well as get ready for Sophia's party. Am off into Blackpool tomorrow am as it's free parking til 12 and I can go to poundland and instore :)

Will also need to ring my dad asking for the cheque again - how embarrassing.

    Hi Sea hun!

Sorry about the problems with your OH - bloody men.....lol!

I'm sure your Dad wont mind you asking for the cheque again, but I understand why you feel a bit embarrassed.

Have a nice time in Blackpool tomorrow, and I hope the party goes well - are you all ready for it now?

By the way, is it RE you teach?

    It is RE :)

The party plans are ok - have decided to scrap all ideas about food and am just going to have mini pizzas with cherry tomatoes, and little cupcakes for pudding. Cake in the party bags with the little toys and done. Also getting gold coins for the pass the parcel and need to draw out (and colour) a big frog for 'pin the crown/kiss on the frog'. Hmmm. Also need to make the cake - will get cheapie barbie type doll from town tomorrow.

I thought it was, but sometimes I get a bit confused about who does what, lol! :o

My son's teacher was discussing all the different religions with his class the other week, and gave them a lovely explanation as to why there are so many, and why people believe different things - she said that it's like looking at God through a stained glass window - depending on where you are standing you will see him in different colours and reflected in different ways.

I'm non-religious, but i thought it was really lovely. :)

I find religion such a fascinating subject though - I hated RE at school (had an awful teacher), but with the right teacher (as I'm certain you are) I think it would be really interesting.

    :D

I do like teaching it but sometimes it is frustrating teaching some of the boring schemes of work - I try to make it more interesting, but there is only so much you can do with some topics.

My yr 10s were lovely today - I've given them all (in groups) an area to work on themselves, in order to then teach it to the rest of the group. So far, we've had one group teaching us all about communion - with bread and grapjuice :), then one 'lesson' on music, which including gospel music from destiny's child! and then finally a group on private and public worship, who got out candles (yes, I was stressing about health and safety when they got out the matches and lit them all over the room, but hey ho. One girl set her pen on fire, but she's a one and then proceeded to run away when I told her off - everyone else just sat there looking at her as if she was completely mad!).

Ooops - waffled on a bit then - it's just nice when the students really get into something and it's not all the same boring stuff.

Hmm.. think I've had too much caffeine again today - been on a ramble all day!! :D

It wasn't a ramble - we all like hearing little snippets of your life!! :D

Or is that just me being nosey?

    Anyway.... :o

Lol at the girl setting her pen on fire, I would have been a bit terrified I think! Well done for handling it all so calmly.

That sounds far more interesting than RE lessons in my youth. Fire was restricted to chemistry in those days.

Don't let your OH upset you having a go about the house. If you're happy with the house it must be fine because we know what a perfectionist you are! Seasonal stress can lead to flare-ups.

Good luck with the party. I'll be thinking of you on Tuesday (it is Tuesday isn't it?) Pizzas and cupcakes will be fine.

Party sounds lovely & sure it will go well! Sorry that you had a row with OH - this time of year always hard for all as so much more to do than "normal"! Hope you're all loved up again soon! Hope you have a good day. Anything planned?
