    :D Karmacat??

Hope all are well. The kids have both been off sick these last two days - big coughs and just not well. OH has been off with them - so as soon as I come through the door he dashes out anywhere to have some time to himself! :) William has shocked us both by doing 3 wees on the loo today (yes, tmi, but so proud lol!!).

Moneywise, managed to get around a sticky secret santa situation by using codes from the site and quidco so the pressie won't cost much - got a Mankini from firebox.com.

Am not happy with debenhams online tho as they don't allow you to pay part gift card and part card - am £3 over what I have in my gift card - so annoying!!!

Tired tonight - but will no doubt be back later! I really need to sort out some finances tonight as well as sort a menu plan that includes stuff for Sophia's party, as well as all the items to use all the vouchers I've got!

Kids in bed and hopefully going to sleep now!

Been feeling a little bad about spending - been buying some more Christmas pressies, in a very MSE way, but not very DFW way of course!! Just got a few more to get and then I'm done - HURRAH!

My dad gave me some money at the weekend and I am having to resist the urge to spend it all. An opportunity has come up to do an MA module with a few seminars at Uni of Cumbria - it will cost £300 (reduced from £1065). I wanted to do an MA when in London, but got pregnant with DS and was off when I had to do all the research etc so that fell though (was free too) and then I left anyway. These modules would be worht 1/3 of an MA, so well on my way. BUt then I worry about it all - will I be able to cope? How will I get the money - I know my mum will contribute if I ask, but I don't really want to. Also I'm scared that with my control issues at the moment, I might go a bit crazy :) My dad's money would pay for nearly all of it, although OH and I were going to use that to give us a little breathing space with our budgets over the next few months.

    Any ideas?

I know I would jump at the chance to on my MA. How often do these chances come along and you never know being able to throw yourself into something like that might help.

Hi Sea..sorry to hear littlies aren't well..hope they are better soon!!..The MA..that's quite a hard decisicion ..could you cope with all your other stuff at the same time?...if the answer is yes then no problem but on the otherhand if it's a no..then could you do it in a few years..
I wish you luck whatever you decide to do...have you got that appointment yet?..as you haven't mentioned it any further...
I just worry as running a house, looking after 2 young children and everything that your job entails is a lot to deal with....because I guess you also have to do a lot of prep at home for your job as well....that isn't meant in a rude way but in a friends opinion ...whatever you do will be the right thing for you...

    Hi

Well, my friend at work is also thinking about doing the MA - if she does do it I will probably go for it - I think it is much easier doing something like that if there are 2 of you doing it. More support I guess :) I'll have a chat with OH about it tonight.

Just off to Tescos now (oh the joy) and will have to restrain myself from spending too much on Sophia's party! Still have £14 of the budget though...so doing ok so far!! :D

I have got an app -for next thursday at 12. Feeling a little nervous but happy it's come through so quick - it's in Fleetwood. Thanks for thinking of me :)

:D Hope you enjoyed it!! :) And yes - here's to a successful and happy 2008!!

Well, went a little mad in Tesco and then nearly passed out at teh checkout. But then I used all my points coupons and money off coupons and managed to get £14 off in money off coupons and the equivalent of £24 in clubcard deals so not so bad. Bought lots of 'big' things - nappies, christmas pressies, milk, loo roll etc. so probably 'only' spent about £30 on food stuff. Ah well. I think I might have finished my Christmas shopping!!! Woo hoo! Just OH to get a shaving brush for and cellophane to buy from ebay and I'm done. Anything else will have to come from free money as I'm done. No more money left to squander!

ooh Taxi - your message sneaked in there :) I did get most of what I wanted - loads of stuff reduced which was fab and I also got (not in the budget lol) a new dress for Sophia which was reduced from £14 to £7 and is an enchanted dress - the film we went to see the other week. She is thrilled - not allowed to wear it til her party so is an early birthday present as well.
