    Hi all

Well I spent a little too much in town, but then realised it was in effect free as I'd banked survey cheques (freefivers, a fiver from the barclaycard petrol money back thing and a random cheque from a friend a while ago) so felt better again :) Have eaten a few too many of the maltesers fun sized bags for Sophia's pass the parcel so will have to replace those - oops.

I have got a huge amount of stuff to do today and it's already nearlt 1pm. I'm going to do half hour on half hour off - I have to!

    So ...

1.30-2pm - Intend to do washing, washing up, clean kitchen, clear sides.
2.15pm- 3pm - Dining room - sort out piles on table, shelves, get rid of excess broken furniture!!(given longer for this as may take a little longer).
3.30pm-4pm - Go through toys in Living room -be RUTHLESS - give away/store/charity shop toys not needed/used/played with. House is getting overun with stuff.
4.30-5pm - Cook kids tea, hoover downstairs, other things that come up.
5.30-6pm - Upstairs - sort sophia's room, change bedlinen, purge toys she no longer using.
6.15-6.45pm - kids in bath - clean bathroom, clean mirror etc. Check med cupboard to chuck out of date stuff. Hoover bathroom.

    Kids to bed....

7.30-8pm - sort out the different things I need to take to work - do to do list for tomorrow to remind me of the things that need doing! :)

Then we'll see how I got on...

ISOM - Eid next week is celebrating and remembering Ibrahim being tested by Allah who asked him to sacrifice his son, but at the last minute Allah stopped him, and so Ibrahim sacrificed a ram. Today Muslims will sacrifice an animal and share the meat out amongst the poor and needy. It's also the last day of the pilgrimage - Hajj :) So a big celebration there too. If you are interested I think this summary is really good - http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/practices/hajj_1.shtml

Anyhoo - better get on now!! Loads to do.

Will try to catchup during the day....

Ooh, I'm doing the half hour on/half hour off thing as well.....starting at 2 though - need to finish my coffee first!

DD is going to start the lounge, I am going to start the Kitchen.....

They will each do their own rooms when they finish school for Christmas. They finish on Tuesday, so I think Wednesday will be allocated Bedroom Day

  • The half hour on, half hour off worked really well when I did it on Friday. Shame it's a tip again now though!

My goodness - I'm on a roll today - so much for the half on half off!! Been on since i logged off here. I have done a load of washing, done the washing up (although there is more now!) and then started on the kids stuff. I've got rid off 2x bin bags of toys to a friend - OH has taken the stuff there NOW. I also have taken a box of stuff from the car and chucked most of it. Been through all the toys behind the sofa and there are 6 more carrier bags to go to the charity shop. I've got rid of the old broken toys that are just a hazard! Still got a way to go though, so shouldn't stay too long on here. I also have taken 2x washing basket full of stuff from Sophia's room so far! Sorting through that now. Will finish that room and this room (living room) before I attack a few other rooms :)Feeling productive, but it's going slow.

OH wallpapered the wall - and has now fitted a new window sill on one window - will do the other one shortly. He's happy as it looks nicer and he feels productive too. DS is in pants today :D Only done one wee though, so will have to get him to drink even more water :)
Sophia is being a star - helping me tidy and loving having it all neater - makes me feel guilty, but hey ho.Teaching her good skills for the future!

Right off to do more...in the mood now!

Wow, Sea! you've done an astonishing amount. I couldn't resist one more diary before I closed down, & you put me to shame! I have cleared the corner that the Christmas tree is going to go in, actually, thats something else I've done, & a couple bowls of washing up, but that really is it. I'll do my cards tonight, I think. Enjoy that cuppa!

Sea, you put me to shame! New windowsills and EVERYTHING!!

I have made an improvement.........but not as much as I would like, although I have done some admin as well which really needed doing, and keeps a bill from being referred to a DCA (only just though - not good enough on my part :o )

The children are sort of tidying still, but are in that silly mode, where everything is funny and not much is getting done! All the cards have been hung up, though, and socks are being paired as we speak, so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much - at least they are doing something!

Keep up the good work Sea, you are doing fantastically!

You've done loads Hypno! And OH is the one putting in the new windowsills - although has now gone to the pub. Ah well.

Right, 3 more carrier bags full for the charity shop, the back of the living room is actually looking quite nice although I still need to get rid of stuff I think before the excesses of Christmas and birthday.

I need to do the dining room still, wrap a few presents that need to be sent asap and also do filing and sorting in there.

Not done anywhere upstairs yet, apart from Sophia's room - so will do the bathroom in about an hour, when they are in the bath and will have to do the dining room when they are in bed. Aso could really do with doing quite a lot of wrapping tonight. Arghhhhhh
