I have same tyres as you and always put them at 33psi... fairly certain this is recommended also.0

Of course, it may be that none of us can really say what the correct pressures should be as the OP hasn't told us what engine his car has, and it's quite common for pressures to be different for diesel and petrol models.0

The tyres are clearly NOT standard to the car, they are rubberband tyres....so disregard the figures in the manual, or the ones you couldn't find on the door pillars.
Contact the tyre manufacturer, and maybe ask them? Maybe ask the people that fitted the tyres?
If you are unclear, or unsure regarding this simple issue, maybe you shouldn't be allowed to drive?0 -

Wrong again - according to several tyre websites 205/55 is the correct size for the 16 inch rim on an Astra estate.
http://www.puretyre.co.uk/vauxhall-tyre-pressures/ gives the range of tyre pressures.
And this shows why more basic maintenance should be in the driving test. Your MPG has dropped as a higher pressure tyre has lower rolling resistance - one of the many tricks car manufacturers use is to run very high pressures during their testing to determine MPG for their new cars, hence the rather ridiculous figures they get.0 -
is this a belated april fools0
