Loads of S&G: I take it you didn't OD like most of us a while back, then! ;) :rotfl:

Congratulations! We will all be here to see you receive your certificate and throw your mortar board up in the air! :j :rotfl:

As for me...one more UU: Tresemme Colour Thrive Blonde Shampoo (500ml). WIBA? Another one from the stash has been deployed and is ready for action. This stuff works well on my hair and is certainly more reasonably priced than Kerastase!

    Thankssss so much InaPickle!!! :D

    Afternoon all!

I'm sorry but I have just glanced over the thread so....

CONGRATULATIONS to all those to be congratulated
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to those turning a different age
(((HUGS))) to anyone who needs them

I think that should cover it....;)

My birthday is in just over a month's time and god, I'll want to cry if I get given any toiletries! I feel like I'm only just starting to take control of my stash and make a little headway :o

But also I don't want anything that might clutter my house as I'm trying to get my possessions down a lot, I have WAY too much stuff!

Basically what I'm saying is I want my friends to just give me money! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'd like to join this thread again. Do I have to list everything I've got? Reason for asking is that I have 4 bins full of stuff and the list would probably take a whole page here. Or should I just write the items I'm finished with?

Also: need a new foundation since the last one made me break out horribly  an now I have acne scars, and some eye shadows as I dropped my palette and it broke in a million pieces :mad::mad:

p.s. I forgot to ask. What do you do with the stuff you buy and then it doesn't work for you?

Valm - I need to get back on track with my healthy eating and exercise it has really fallen by the wayside in the cold weather, I don't go to a gym so all my exercise is outside, mainly cycling and walking. I like the cold but not cycling in it as I just can't get warm after.

I have seen some bloggers have been doing a 100 day unnecessary spending ban, they allow themselves to buy things they need but not high end versions and they include things like coffees, lunch, magazines, candles, clothes etc in the ban. 100 days from now takes us to July, does anyone think they could manage that?

Hi dolly. Have been out for a 2 hour walk this afternoon. My gluts and legs are now killing me. It's all good though - or so I keep telling myself.

I don't think I could given any of those things up. I look forward to the only lunch of the week that I buy which is a Subway on a Friday and I have one of their coffees as well. Candles would be hard as well. had a nosey at the magazines with freebies on them in Sainsburys yesterday and was not won over by any of them.

Have another UU to declare. The bar of L'occitane Verbena soap I was using. It disintegrated completely in the shower yesterday. Went to replace it with the tube of Avon Spotlight that I thought was shower gel however after trying to get it to lather to no avail realised it is a body lotion! lol. Instead have opened an Elemis Frangipani shower gel and am using this body lotion on top but not sure if it has gone off as it has left my skin sticky after application. Will see how it goes but may have to TA.

Have repainted my nails ready for work tomorrow and am wearing OPI You Don't Know Jacques.

Have a good week everyone. x
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

    Welcome back! :D

It's up to you whether you want to post a stash list! Sometimes people find it helpful to take stock, organise it, and look at how they will order the use of their stash. Sometimes that's too much, and more preferable to write the UU here only.

I personally used to torture myself to use things up, regardless of whether I disliked them. I had more things I disliked when I first started - from buying bargains etc. Now, I've finished/used up the things I wasn't sure about and I'm much more discriminate and only buy things I really fancy trying. On occasion, things don't work and I no longer torture myself to use them up - I just give them away to family/friends. I think selling on Ebay is quite popular on this forum too

    Evening ladies,
    Only a couple of GA's
    Temple spa truffle thing
    Lulu neck cream
Both given to my Mom, I am never going to use them.

In regards to ebay, it is a time consuming but it does get rid of things you are not going to use and it raises some funds. I was supposed to list things today but have been sorting out my Nan's house so have not had the time. A friend last year sold used high end make up and made quite a bit of money, surprisingly there is a market out there for it. I have several things ending in the next 24 hours and did sell a few things on buy it now last week. Some are doing better than I thought and others not as well but thats ebay for you.

Hello all! Nice weekendy update on OUTs :D

11 - Dove compressed invisible dry deo. Would buy again, very good stuff. Does the job and gentle too.
12 - Murad essential c cleanser. Used twice and dried out my skin terribly! Smells vaguely of orange to start with then a chemically after scent. Hmmm. Didn't finish it, but added to a handwash pump in the kitchen. ;)
13 - Avon argan oil conditioner. OK, did the job.
14 - Philosophy hope in a jar. Lovely texture and mattifying moisturiser too, but the scent was too much. Sort of lavender-y but chemical plastic-y too. Used up as body lotion before it went off.
    Cookie, I think you're tame. :heart2:

Thanks for the info on what to do with stuff. I think I will get started on the list using an excel spreadsheet (yes, it is THAT bad).:rotfl:

    Hi All,

One UU/TA for me - Trevor Sorbie Beautiful Volume Mousse - this, along with Tresemme 24hr Volume, is my HG mousse so WBA but this didn't seem empty, it just did that annoying thing mousse has a habit of and stop coming out properly when it still felt like there was plenty in it - you know just a bit of a dribble instead of actual mousse - chucked in the end as it was so frustrating!

Having a seriously fed up day today, funny how they usually fall on Sundays!! Feel a bit better for tidying up and doing useful stuff and a walk to get some fresh air. Think I'm tired more than anything as had a shocking night's sleep last night. A nice soak in the bath might be in order.
