Morning world.
Hope everyone is ok.
I've got the in laws round today so I'm frantically tidying the house up. (stuffing bits under the sofa and hiding plates in the dishwasher:D)
Huge hugs to SD this morning, you really do have a lot on your shoulders at the mo. we are always here for you hun xfairclaire wrote: »:eek: oh yeah.....the car was quiet on the way home:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I'll pick them up on the way to Gretna tomorrow
different story......my mother left me in a pram in the butchers when I was weeks old. She went to the post office, the co-op and ran in to a friend who asked her what she'd had before she remembered :eek:....that's trueGood morning all, an off out so will have to catch up from pg 42 later (reminder to myself :rotfl:
Lol my mum left me outside the post office when I wad a baby as she couldn't get the pram in, came out and walked half way home before she remembered :rotfl:
:rotfl::rotfl:
My mum left me in a bank once- she got the bus home and had made herself a cuppa before she realised. A couple of years later she left my brother on the sofa on his christening day. The vicar asked who had the baby- no one did. Cue lots of shoving to get out the door. :rotfl:Life is not about learning to avoid the storms - it's about learning to dance in the rain.0 -

My days been ok but feeling really carpy.
2 years ago today at 8ish tonight I got the phone call that would change my life forever:(.
My mum tried to call me but I was working and didn't manage to answer so rang her back just before 8. Apparently DH had been trying to ring me but couldn't get through and had rang her. When I finally got through to her she explained that DH wasn't very well but they'd called an ambulance. While on the phone to her they'd arrived and I heard the most blood curdling scream coming from my mum, I had to get home and was almost there.
Sorry, I'll stop there TMI. I never made it in time
It's so strange that I can remember almost every detail of that day but can't remember what I did yesterday or what I have to do tomorrow without having it written down.
My heart aches every day, I feel like I don't want to (I don't know what to put here, maybe go on, feel like this, do anything. I don't know what I don't want)
I know I need sleep so good night xIf you don't want to sleep we are here if you just want to talk:)vanilla_twist wrote: »SD sorry you are in so much pain tonight. Hugs wont help but sending them anyway.

My thoughts are with you too. The post you wrote about your mam was so lovely. She saw a lot in her lifetime and lived through the most technological times of all. To see cars increasing on the streets, cinema then tv. Clothing become easy to get. Rationing and war.
Someone said Alan would be waiting for her and so will many people you loved and who loved you.
The next couple of weeks will be hectic then be prepared for the crash that comes afterwards.
You were in the hands of very caring friends when you got the news, so much better than being alone.
You are in our prays and thoughts tonight.
Tinyshoes I hope your easter has been ok, keep strong too. Must be so hard when you have a family that needs you at home too.
V x

Spiralling down, i am so sorry you feel this way, i lost my mum 16 years ago wow has it been that long and i still feel like it was yesterday she was only 46 so i feel her life was stolen.
It took me years to even feel remotely better, i dont have any of my family now near me ,my dad is in thailand and my brother australier and with all the crap life has dealt me over the last two years feel so alone, but speaking on here and listening to little words from people keep you going.
You will feel better,or should i say learn to cope with it.
My heart goes out for you i know there is nothing that will make you feel better at this time but hang in there ,there is a light, big hugs to you x;)0 -
Morning
Can I just say, I'm still fairly new to this thread as far as the non-bargain side of conversations goes. But it's clear to see the huge amount of comfort offered and received on this thread and I would like to say a massive thank you to all who take the time to show consideration for others. In this day and age, virtual friends are just as important as any other kind - and often easier to talk to. I hope all those in need find some comfort in knowing how many people truly care about them.“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you could miss it.” ~ Ferris Bueller0 -
