I can vouch for First Direct. I changed over to them a couple of years ago and have always had excellent service :)
ive been with them since they started up, god knows how long. ive been offered many deals by other banks offering interest on my current account when times were good before the 2008 crash. but i would not move because the customer service is a definate 10/10

Just looking on ebay local....again . this would be good for my stash in the shed but wont get it in the car :(

I have 2 of these in the garage and honestly, at that price I'd find a way to get it home. The ex managed to (one at a time obviously) fit them in a Laguna, in the middle of winter, boot open and car seats as far forward as they'd go. Not the most pleasant of journeys but it was worth it to be able to admire the aul stashes. Just had a look locally and I nearly spat out my tea at the price of them. Very MSE of me considering it was long before I joined here but my employers were ditching them so I figured I'd offer my services and save them the hassle ;)

    Brownie Recipe

    180g butter
    280g chocolate
    80g SR flour
    40g cocoa
    3 eggs
    280g sugar
    Some chocolate chips

Melt butter, add chocolate and melt both together

    Whisk sugar and eggs together

When cool add choc mix to eggs and sugar

Sieve cocoa and flour in to the mix

    Add choc chips.

Pour mix into a greased tin and put in a medium hot oven for 25 to 30 mins. Let cool before easing out of tin whole and cut into squares.

Sieve icing sugar over it and serve with a jug of milk
    Sorry I mean cream:rotfl:

TM hope you don't mind me saying this but your legs are the legs of a slim lady but your recipes are the recipes of a larger lady:D:D

    Call me lastminute.com

Trying to open a cash ISA before the midnight deadline. Very few still accepting business, I managed to open a Tesco cash ISA online, now I need to transfer money into it. The only way to do it instantly is by debit card on the phone. I have been on hold for 41 minutes, but "we do want to help you" and I am "moving forward in the queue". :(

Lines shut at 10pm. What are the chances of me being on hold for another 40 minutes?
see my post about 3% isa

I am glad you appreciated my music suggestion last night ;) it was tongue in cheek about "How much is the doggie in the window", and we didn't actually put it forward to the undertaker. Anyway, my brother would have a heart attack if I suggested it seriously ;) He is looking for some suitable classical music, my sister and I will look at dance band music as Mam & Dad did go dancing in their younger days and that is where they met, at a dance. Or maybe a Geordie song as Mam was a true Geordie and would not be budged from Tyneside.

When we were very little, Dad wanted us to move to S!!!!horpe for work, but she wouldn't, and then, when one of his brother's and their family emigrated to Australia in the 1960's, Dad really wanted us to go for a new life, but Mam put her foot down. She wasn't moving from where she knew, very much a home-bod my Mam, whereas Dad, having been in Merchant Navy, would have loved the life in Australia. She said to me only 2 years ago, in a moment of lucidity, "do you like living in the country?" When I said we loved it, she said "Oh I wouldn't. With nothing around you. I like it here". Bless her :A

Not sure if it's already been mentioned. Free M&S Percy Pigs on Priority Moments :)

I saw this deal on HUKD (now expired) and took a punt on it

TCB tracked very quickly and in a matter of days was converted to CC points. The phone is very basic so you can't install the app but with a bit of bodging (very technical term ;)) I have the O2 app on my Vodafone sim handset and redeemed the piggies this afternoon. Not bad for an £11 outlay, £5.50 in CC points, £10 credit on an emergency phone and a bag of sweeties :D
