Call me lastminute.com
Trying to open a cash ISA before the midnight deadline. Very few still accepting business, I managed to open a Tesco cash ISA online, now I need to transfer money into it. The only way to do it instantly is by debit card on the phone. I have been on hold for 41 minutes, but "we do want to help you" and I am "moving forward in the queue".
Lines shut at 10pm. What are the chances of me being on hold for another 40 minutes?
That may be because Martin Lewis did a show on Cash ISAs at 8pm and advised that Tesco would be a good Easy Access Cash ISA to open before midnight tonight.
It says on their website that you can do an online transfer; can you do a 'faster payment' via your current account?:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

Also the Robinson multibuy has not been recognised.
Can I quote you twice? These (or rather their own equivalent) were on at Lidl/Aldi (I forget which) at 39p each earlier this week. So I therefore wasn't tempted by the normal comparison Avs (T?) even with a few pence back through TCB (that may have now gone?). Last week 50p each, this week 2 for a pound!
But that glitching multibuy now makes it a different matter altogether...!!...0 -

I thought it was the loin that you got or was it Barbara?
I stayed a while for the rest of the bread to come out and a bit more veg so got my loaf of Vogel and one for someone else who was still cruising the aisles:rotfl:
No sign of those several bunches of Lilies though, but I guess one of the staff must have wanted them so they were mysteriously "disappeared" out back;)When The Fun Stops Stop0 -

Online banking tells me that first payments (as this will be) take longer , estimated delivery 8 April
There is a chance that online could go quicker, but I'm better off waiting for them to answer.

Pork crackling joint :T if I had known she was after it I would have gone to the bread aisle , safe distance;). No doubt she was cruising the aisles causing bother
Me, causing bother? Surely you have noticed my subtle and inconspicuous manouevres in the aisles?
I was checking out the reduced cream again when a couple approached and starting discussing the use by date and how long it would keep etc...in french. The look on their faces was a picture when I joined in their conversation in french too:rotfl::rotfl:. Lovely couple who were from France/Seychelles and living here but not coping very well with the Teesside climate:D
Edit just realised that it was Barbara you were suggesting was causing bother and not me.Will let you offAwaiting a new sig0 -
