    Thanks SDB.
I just found the Tesco receipt and I bought it 4th Nov 2007, so 6 years in this year.

I paid £299.97! (base only) :rotfl:

Thanks for the advice on upgrading Windows, I never thought of that. The only thing I did to this PC is put in extra RAM (about as teccy as I get lol), but it's served me well.

Are Packard Bell ok as a make?

I think I'll keep an eye out for the package like you said, or if I win a fortune on the Grand National tomorrow (:rotfl:) I may just treat myself :D

A lot of people hate Packard Bells but I've got 2 (2YO now) the same (one of which FOC, another story ) running Windows 7 with 8GB of memory in each and they are great, very zippy and reliable. I think PB laptops are not so reliable but PCs are perfectly OK.

No one else play the quiz please, it's a bit broke :rotfl:

Another completely rubbish day in work today but I don't have to worry about that for two days now :j :j

SD have you tried crating the beast whilst you are out. I had to do this when my dog started destroying my new kitchen. I cable tied the new crate first to make it nice and strong on the corners and now I can go out without worrying what I will come home to. I put 3 padlocks on the door, top, middle and bottom

    He can unpick padlocks:(

Your beast SD makes my ds3 look like an angle.
I do love your beast stories.:T
The next thread should be named after him.

The baby gate is a standard one, never measured him before.:o. I do know he's 27kgs though :rotfl:

Think you can get some quite big crates and industrial strength. Getting mine has given me back my life as I was really struggling as not able to leave the dog without damage. We did initially buy a kennel for the garden but she was barking constantly and we didn't think it was fair on the neighbours. The crate has been worth every penny and I don't know what I would have done otherwise. She prefers crate over kennel because its in the house. Hthx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.

I just had a long discussion with my car insurance broker, I rang to get a renewal quote for my present address the price they gave was the same as last year  I asked about axa price matching but she said they didn't do that through the brokers and maybe I should ring axa direct so I did and knocked £200 off the quote she gave me :D. So much for being a valued customer, I had got my policy price matched through the broker lat year so don't know what's changed this year. Well they've lost out on my business this year.

Brokers are rubbish sometimes, they know they can reduce the quote but it costs them commission so they won't. I made my dad shop around last year and he couldn't believe the difference

    I'd second that.

Try Tesco for a start. They're cheapest for me.

    Try the comparison sites.

    Get cashback TCB/Quidco.

    Should lighten the load :D
