Evening all - reporting in before sleep time

Got all our sorting out done today. Celebrant came and talked for ages to get details of Mam for service, ordered flowers, registered Mam's death and got certificates, took green form to undertakers, went to care home with chocolates and cards for carers/nurses who were so upset to see Mam go and several will be at her funeral next week which is lovely, and picked up Mam's things, then dropped my brother off and back home to sister's. Later tonight we sorted out Mam's things for charity shop and I have some of her clothes to take down to undertakers tomorrow to dress her in. We have sorted music and I have to let them know that tomorrow too. Mam is called Florence but has always gone by the name of Molly and her and Dad's song when they just had my brother, before my sister and I were born, so to play during service we chose My Blue Heaven in which they sing "and Molly and me, and baby makes three, I'm living in my blue heaven", and then, to play as we leave, a song my sister in particular used to get Mam to sing in the home "She'll be coming round the mountain when she
comes". My sister once phoned me and held phone to Mam as Mam sang the first verse and chorus, word perfect, to me .... it was wonderful :j We still have to come up with a song for as we enter but for some reason they didn't accept my suggestion of the song I used to sing with her "How much is that doggie in the
window" where she used to do all the "bow wows" at the right time :rotfl:

Congratulation on new baby Florence, Ruxpin - lovely name ;)

I is off to sleep now so night night all

A lovely post 3dogs. The memories you have of your mam are so warm.
Lovely choice of songs. I am sure you will find an entrance song that is agreed to. Trying to guess the year your mam got married, maybe a song from then.
How about What a wonderful world?

I love hearing your stories about your mam. So warm.

we have a porch type thing outside the back door. We have an old folding table that was my dads. We sit the fryer on it, plugged in to an extension......yes he runs around, but exercise is good for you :) so real chips and a fit hubby :D win......win :rotfl::rotfl:

WE don't have a porch outside the back door but an external socket and a folding table like you. We use the George grill out there for cooking as DW can't stand the smell of griiling/frying in the house as we always seem to have washing hung in the utility room(or auxilliary kitchen as my very own Mrs Bucket likes to call it:rotfl::rotfl:)

Good morning everyone. house elf thats priceless! :rotfl:

3Dogs I love your plans for your Mams funeral, it'll be lovely (an odd choice of words but I'm sure you know what I mean). We sang my Nans favourite song at her funeral, printed on the order of service, we could hear her singing with us.
