Evening all - reporting in before sleep time
Got all our sorting out done today. Celebrant came and talked for ages to get details of Mam for service, ordered flowers, registered Mam's death and got certificates, took green form to undertakers, went to care home with chocolates and cards for carers/nurses who were so upset to see Mam go and several will be at her funeral next week which is lovely, and picked up Mam's things, then dropped my brother off and back home to sister's. Later tonight we sorted out Mam's things for charity shop and I have some of her clothes to take down to undertakers tomorrow to dress her in. We have sorted music and I have to let them know that tomorrow too. Mam is called Florence but has always gone by the name of Molly and her and Dad's song when they just had my brother, before my sister and I were born, so to play during service we chose My Blue Heaven in which they sing "and Molly and me, and baby makes three, I'm living in my blue heaven", and then, to play as we leave, a song my sister in particular used to get Mam to sing in the home "She'll be coming round the mountain when she comes". My sister once phoned me and held phone to Mam as Mam sang the first verse and chorus, word perfect, to me .... it was wonderful :j We still have to come up with a song for as we enter but for some reason they didn't accept my suggestion of the song I used to sing with her "How much is that doggie in the window" where she used to do all the "bow wows" at the right time :rotfl:
Sounds like you are doing a great job of organising a fitting send off. xxx0 -
Morning all, got some sleep last night, hopefully that means either the cough is shifting or the drowsy medicine works - I'm happy whatever.
Still coughing like mad this morning but as long as I can get some sleep I can put up with that.
I read that vicks rubbed on the soles of the feet and then socks on stops you coughing.0 -

Don't know what others do but I select ASDA as my store and do not deviate from it. Type in the product I would like and then select that item to see how it compares elsewhere. So taking your Muller rice vanilla and whatever as an example - once clicked on the product I see this:
Quite clearly says N/A for T's so would avoid that flavourHowever if you were to switch the store to T's you would find that product and I think that might be what you are doing and getting a bit lost, apologies if i'm wrong.
You are spot on! I do search A then change store and search T! I didn't realise you could compare in this way! I'll try again next week using that method! Thank you - not only might this save me money but also precious time! For the last year most of the parcels I send to the uk have been £2.70 but now the same parcel would be £5.40  so I registered with myhermes on Sunday.
Wish I'd known about the changes! Sold a bunch oif items on EBay for 99p - weighed them and charged exact postage cost of £5.50....took them to PO and had to pay £8 for each as prices had changed the day before :-(
Wish I'd given the lot to charity now!
However like you and I mostly sell clothes I was paying £2.70 for almost every parcel.
Perhaps I'll check out myhermes too, thanks for that!
Although there are also a few parcel companies on TCB so think when I have some spare time - now that's obviously a joke!! - I'll check them all out :-)Dream of being mortgage free....

Morning.
3Dogs your plans for your mums send off sound good, hopefully you'll decide on a suitable song for her entrance without too much difficulty.
I got DS to pick music for DH's funeral, he decided he wanted to pick the music for the coffin being lowered into the ground. He picked 'The imperial march' from Star Wars (you know 'dun dun duda, dun dun duda'):rotfl::eek: he had everyone in wrinkles but we did get some disapproving looks from a few. Everyone who knew us well knew the two of them spent hours watching StarWars and it's many spin offs so quite fitting and nice to see so many people laughing.
Well I've just been informed that there's nothing for breakfast (bad mummy) so according to him he'll take a McDonalds one! He's just made himself a big glass of strawberry milk and gave the dogs the last of the bread so I couldn't make him eggs and toast, something makes me think this is planned :rotfl: I don't mind it's not often he has junk food for breakfast but he'll be getting the eggs for lunch or dinnerSPC #329 £471/£500 banked
SPC 2014 £1100:D

OK I am now very confused.
Please can someone confirm what worked for them on Thursday?
Salmon did not work for me on Sunday but turkey and chicken did. But now I've read that its only turkey and the chicken does not work.
Is 14 the max anyone has bought?
Seems to have been changing mhoc - Salmon wasn't working Mon or Tues but did yesterday for CoT. Chicken didn't work for me on Wed, when the price changed from 59p each to 50p each.
Best buy numbers depends on how many flavours are comparing at 15p today, but remember only a max of 10 each will compare.Call_of_Trouty wrote: »snip.........
10 x Sheba Meaty Chunks with Turkey - Foil Tray (100g) £4.29 £1.50
4 x Sheba Meaty Chunks Salmon - Foil Tray (100g) £1.71 £0.60
snip.........I'm going to do a test shop late this morning with 1 salmon and 1 chicken and the rest turkey - but it will be late morning before i get there and then the 3 hour wait!
Thanks DODO0 -
