I can't believe how cold it feels out there and now its trying to snow again, I'm glad I have a day off today, I think it will take me that long to catchup on this thread. See you later.
I'll take some snow Sat night or Sunday, just enough to stop the school reopening for a week or so0 -

Morning all, off to docs this morning finally got an appointment, more due to the fact that I am coughing a lot in the night. I stayed up into early hours last night to avoid keeping DH awake with my coughing again but can't do this when back in school. Chest feels better, cough is worse.0

It scares me.....I have absolutely no family at all
Morning
Fairclaire this sounds a bit like me i have my mum , DS 23 and a bro but i dont get on with bro and rarely see him. I see him when i am at mums and he happens to visit while i am there. Bro got no family lives with g/f who 2 kids not his they dont even live with them.
It does scare you when you think about it. I worry more about DS being on his own if anything happens to me when his nan not here0 -

naw im quite active and enjoy exersize still and im not "sporty" but enjoy keeping fit (jogging walking and running up and down my steep garden path few times) im startting swimming next week after the holidays with my dd1 and dd2 is having her own lessons i cant wait
Funnily enough I asked her about this a couple of weeks ago and she said it was because she wasn t with her friends mainly. Not much of a reason really. She s a good swimmer as when the summer holidays were on you could buy a season ticket and she used to go most days sometimes twice and apart from the ferrying her there and back we had a bit of peace lol. This was fine till one day a young lad lifeguard commented she was fat' she wasn t really but his words stuck and she never wanted to go again which was such a shame.0 -

I'm probably completely wrong here but I'm wondering if there is a bit of a glitch here - is the APG showing the correct price you actually paid for the Coke Zero? Maybe offers have changed since you did your shop, but just checking as it is showing for me online at 2 for £3.50: going by this 3 should have cost £5.48 ...0 -

Ok, thanks, think that clears up the confusion with what I thought I'd seen.
All 13 of my/friends subs to LS are now tracking after having to put in tickets for 9 of them. No signs of any DDs being set up yet but had notification from 1 sub (£3 Android) confirming first issue date.
I still have one of the old Dennis publications(direct) £1 offers for Digital SLR mag in my TCB account that initially tracked and was confirmed but eventually went to payable at £0. This was from a HUKD posting yonks ago but I don't think many got the CB as Dennis publishing T&Cs specifically exclude trial offers from their cashback offerAwaiting a new sig0 -

No, we wanted 3 for quidco, but I've now realised that it's online only for the 3xcoke 2L, Grrr, didn't read it right!
Coke was 2 for £2 but it didn't have this up in store, so 2x2L was £2 and the 1 was £1.98, to compare at S 99p each, hth's!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

Morning everyone.
Hugs for all those who need. There seems to be so many people hurting at the moment my best wishes go out to you.
I am having a difficult time at the moment but nothing compared to a lot of you out there. You may remember my husband had to have a colonoscopy in December when two growths were taken away but the results came back clear but at the time there was an area of the bowel they couldnt see so last week he had the op again and two more growths were taken away so we are playing the waiting game again.
On a more positive note Nivea face products are half price in Tesco's and are comparing very well with Asda Nivea Q10 face serum is £9.97 in Asda and I think it is £5 odd in Tesco. I did a shop yesterday and got a £17.55 APP back (a bit larger then I expected) Hope this might help some of you. Off to the gym now have a good day.0 -

It's been 4 years since my husband died (April 2009, he was 48) and it's only in the last year I have been able to talk about him without shedding a tear. Time does help, but I wouldn't say it heals. I can now talk about him and refer to him with without feeling too melancholy. But there is always a shadow - 'why him?' and 'what if' constantly triggered by everyday events, reminding me how things could have been different.
Keep those lovely memories alive, but remember that your son will best be served by a mother who looks forward with him, taking him into the future not dragging him back to the past. When we scattered my husband's ashes I said to our children "don't forget him, make sure you remember what a fantastic dad you have" and that's what I try to keep alive, a bit of him in all our hearts. But for their sakes I've had to look forward too (actually I think it's having the children that has stopped me falling into a massive rut and never climbing out). Their lives are full of opportunity and it's my job to guide them and giving them the courage to make their own paths. In doing so I have found my own strength to face a future I didn't expect to have (widowed).
I'm crying now after typing this, but at last after 4 years I can wipe those tears away and carry on.0
