Good Morning0 -
Good morning to a new day, reading back last night I can see why I feel as though you are my friends, frequent:A, no words can say what I want to you but I know that I am lucky to have my kids and unfortunately there is always someone worse off than me. Hope you all have a safe and better day today, hugs to all that need one.:)Try a warm water solution of biological washing powder
Washing powder should never be used for feather of any kind, much better getting the handwash liquid meant for this, I have tramped the duvet in the bath but drying it in this weather would be a probelm. The person who never makes a mistake never learns anything.0 -
Good morning all. This thread can make for a sombre read.

Your posts bring a sharp reality to the thread.
Finding peace with grief.
I've stopped trying.
When it's there, no words can console the emotion.
You just have to let the tears flow.
My daughter would have been 13 last week.
When I go to lay flowers, I get a flash back of lowering her coffin the into grave.
Life can be tough as hell at times, but with good friends, dedication and effort, the better times are never to far away.
Have planned a £50 shop a S for tomorrow, after moc's hopefully should pay £30 and get back a £10 bm.
Chin(s) up.
frequent, I was just reading back and saw your post. My own daughter very nearly died four years ago (she went and had to be resuscitated), and suffered consequential memory loss. Even now I am still coming to terms with that, and I cannot imagine what you are dealing with. To you and all the other strong people on here, dealing with severe troubles, all I can say is that I salute you all. You are all just terrific. xxxxxHope is not a strategy.0 -

That's what I thought you meant lol the carpet not the quilt. I stupidly washed something with feathers in years ago and had to throw it way in the end as it never dried
I washed a feather pillow in the machine recently as it stunk to high heaven.
Came out stinking as it dried, took days but it did eventually get dry and now it doesn't smell at all.
Guess I just got lucky, didn't now you can't wash feathers that way. Note to self, don't do it again!!Historic Debt August 2009 = £63,600 10th March 2017 = £0 100% paid all gone!
Mortgage started June 2015 = £170,000 January 2022 = £134,000
Saving for Xmas 2022= . . Amazon £55

It's strange you know. My daughter was only 3 when she learned. At the time we thought it was because she took after my husband who was a gymnast and a trapeze artiste many moons ago now lol and I wasn t too shabby at sports either but when she grew up and went to the senior school she hated pe and would do anything and everything to get out out of it. It was unbelievable.
i was simlar hun as soon as i got to the "big school" sport became boring in my case it was because the school sports teachers were old and rubbish and equipment was lacking and the bulk of leassons were bleep tests or simlar, and occasinaly swimming for a term, quite offten i had a letter to excuse me (self writen:eek::o but never questioned ) then i got to go catch up on my art or english work which i enjoyed
naw im quite active and enjoy exersize still and im not "sporty" but enjoy keeping fit (jogging walking and running up and down my steep garden path few times) im startting swimming next week after the holidays with my dd1 and dd2 is having her own lessons i cant wait
