Yes me too. SFSB always puts others first trying out glitchesIt would have been wonderful for him to strike lucky with the vodka.

Good afternoon all, just back from the hospital (again) and the results of my biopsy are complicated, this is my second transplant kidney 3 years ago, first only limped along for a few weeks, but this one has been giving a good 26% function until I got a e-coli infection last month and gp gave me an inappropriate antibiotic!! so now the damage is done either by the infection or the antibiotic and my renal function is at 13% just so ticked off as I waited 10 years for the call in the first place and one tiny hic-cup and I feel bombed out, sorry to moan will allow myself this one day then it's back to making the best of it.:o

Sorry to hear this izzy even if I don't fully understand the implications for you. Can the kidney repair itself like the liver? Can you make any lifestyle changes to improve its function?
    Best wishes:A

    Hello Izzy65 :)

Sorry to hear of the reduced renal function. Hopefully a donnor kidney will become available sooner than the last one did.

Logie, well done, you're nearly there with the chemo :T

Trulymadly and midwinter thanks for your support,to be honest I would need a crystal ball to know how long this could last afraid the damage is not likely to repair itself although if I can get rid of the infection some of the function could return, have been here before and was on dialysis which if I needed too I know I can go back too, just would prefer not too:(

thanks to all who have replied, it makes me smile to know that so many caring people are on this thread.
