My vlad did not compare and neither did a few of the regulars ie .Bombay ,herb pot, rang H/O did offer £5  but I declined ,they tried to wriggle out but I stayed firm ,they confirmed it was still showing on t...s and mys but still didn't offer to price match, asked for receipt to be sent in,I also checked I had 19 comparable items so something went haywire.

    Hey all,
Can someone help me out and confirm I'm not going completely doolally!!
I think I've been trouted by T's and told the TPP compares the cheapest item in the cheapest store and not just a comparable entire basket elsewhere?!
My TPP came in different to what I expected as T's isn't seeing the 2 for £2 multi on coke at As but I was told because it's £1.98 in Ms it makes no difference to a TPP????
The rest of my basket was comparable to As so it made my TPP £1.50 less than it should have been :(
There's no way I've been doing TPP wrong all this time surely??

Put it into the Tesco Price Promise to see your results, that will tell you what went wrong x

I know what went wrong I was just wondering if I've been working it out wrong as the Ts person told me it compares items across all shops and works out which is the cheapest (not basket vs basket in one store which is the way I understand it). Surely if this was the case we wouldn't be worrying about TPPs being screwed up by more expensive items .
They told me because the coke is cheaper in Ms it doesn't count even though everything else in my basket was cheaper in As (the rest was either the same or N/A vs Ms so I argued his point wasn't valid).

That's the reason I wondered if i've been doing wrong all this time (I'm probably making no sense!)

  • Viking - Nectar points

I emailled customer service and I've just had this reply, I have just highlighted a small section that could cause some disagreement, hope this is useful to the many others out there in the same position:):

    Dear A,

Thank you for your e-mail, I'm sorry to hear about the problems with this order.

I'm afraid that it is taking longer than normal for these points to be processed due to the offer being a lot more popular than we expected. The points are being processed at the moment and as long as you are eligible for the offer and met all the requirements the points should be on your Nectar balance by the end of next week at the latest.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
    Daniel Key
