Need some advice.
Until recently I didn't freeze anything that I didn't buy frozen from a supermarket. It was an MSE step for me to freeze fresh stuff!
I've made a newbie mistake however and have kept some lovely 'Butchers Choice - Extra Lean Mince' over a month.
It's dated BB 13th Feb so it's coming up to the 2 months and was frozen on date of purchase.
Do I throw it out or are the guidelines ridiculous?
My mum says keep for up to 3 months, but she isn't always the best to talk to about this sort of thing..!
Help appreciated!
I keep it for up to 3 months and probably longer than that, it's not done me any harm so farI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Anyway the Easter egg hunt was a massive popular success plus the lamb I cooked up for lunch was really tender & tasty. Had the in-laws round and most of them had never had lamb before and my bro-I-l had last tasted lamb 15 years ago lol
So fair to say another popular success!0 -
Jackpot city (slots only) is £30.30 on TCB when you deposit and spend £10. Quidco is £50 for a £40 spend. Hope it price matches for a brucie bonus
Don't forget to to opt out of the casino bonus before you deposit your £10 or you'll need to play about £500 worth to be able to withdraw and the chances of having any funds left are slim. Cost me £5.60 when i forgot0 -

In most freezers that'd be absolutely fine, keep it for a year if you feel like it.
The only ones to really beware of are those old fridges with a tiny freezer compartment on top of a biggish fridge - they really are quite useless.0 -
Fudge Cake it so lovely to see you posting again!
I had a fab weekend away, got off the plane here, home for some dinner and back out again for an impromptu belated birthday night :j fab times, rolling in at 2am and not having to get up for work today :j :j
No shopping for me today. My debit card has expired and my bank sent the replacement 3 months ago. I put it in a safe place and then couldn't find it. They are sending a replacement but all the bank holidays mean that it's not going to arrive until at least Wednesday. So I get a couple of forced no spend daysI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Your puddy is gorgeous. One of mine is in the dog house - it has shredded one of the dining room chairs. I thought she was just sleeping in the bay window in there these last few days when the sun was out, oh but how wrong was I0 -
