I have a Helping Hand £5 discount voucher when you spend 40 but im not sure what 40 it is taken off

Is the £40 spend before or after discounts? e.g. could I buy 40 pounds worth of wine but with the 25% discount only have to pay £30 less the £5 voucher = £25??

It's taken off after discount so you'll need to spend a minimum of£53.48 on wine/other.
