  • How many 6x3 wall stores have you seen with an apex roof?

I have one. There are quite a few on the market.

I hope you haven't placed it against the wall as the op intends to do.

Yes, i know. i was pointing out that it wasnt just a case of making one end narrower. You would have to alter the front/back too to allow for the increased hypotenuse

exactly, 1 side will need to be longer than the other, which it can't given you have 2 same sides, so the end has to come in a little to compensate, you are left with a trapezium? long time since school.

You will have roof issues. Overhang etc.

To be honest if you are capable of altering this to fit, you should be capable of constructing something in actual position, probably as easy if not easier.;);)

Exactly right cyclone, if the OP could do the modifications required then they could equally well build what they want from scratch.
I love building sheds, it is very therapeutic and satisfying as well.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

Umm because the rain water running off the roof of the apex will then be running down your wall? Penetrating damp here we come! Unless you've put the end against the wall of course in which case it probably doesn't matter as much but you'll still get splashing onto the wall.

OP I agree with others build it from scratch but if you are determined to mod a prebuilt then get a pent not an apex.

    Cheers.

If the back of the shed is parallel to the wall, or fence or whatever, on a 6 foot wide by 3 foot deep apex roof shed, the ridge would be at right angles to the wall, so the rain would run off at either side, not down the wall.

You may get some splashing upwards if this falls onto concrete, but I cannot see how it can run down the wall.

    This is a 7 x 3 bike/wall store with apex roof.....

You'll find it a lot easier to build a shed from scratch the size you want than trying to alter a bought one.
