Hi to all new April 2013 BRs
We shall increase in numbers no doubt.....
This morning my usually bright and cheery postman gave me a dirty look as he handed me a large white envelope with The Insolvencey Service stamped all over the front in bright red :eek: talk about bieng discreet.
Opened said letter, mmmmm now they want all my debit/credit cards returned to them cut in half, all my hire purchase credit agreements and 12 months statements from my 2 bank accounts :eek:. And I have to sign some papers giving them permission to look at my life's data and any PPI claims if any.
Well sorry but my bank statements are all on line, I can't afford to print off that amount let alone what the postage costs will be, they are welcome to have data release papers signed I have nothing to hide.
Now the return of my bank debit cards  I only have a Coop Cashminder account and Barclays basic account which my JSA goes in to...will discuss this with the OR in tomorrow's in depth interview.
I will sign any papers but after an initial wait I finally got to see CAB, lady said I might get a BRO as I paid one creditor every week over everyone else.....yes I did as it was for a cooker fridge freezer and the non working washing machine and they collected these items yesterday as I cannot pay them anymore....so it's microwave ping meals till I can figure out how to get a cooker etc., plus side I can now paint the kitchen lol
Also some ill informed Housing Association wallah when told my BR details said they won't like this your tenancy could end,:eek::mad: I soon gave them an earful of facts, where the hell do they find these folk that utter such garbage, I might have believed them and gone off the phone upset and done something stupid if I was in a fragile state of mind.
So folks my BR journey day 7, one week in, consists of not much, once I've had my ORs interview tommorow, see where I stand with my bank accounts ( have moved my benefit payments over to my friends account since last time just to be on the safe side)
The ex OH has had a foot stomping session as I went BR, well he went BR first and the joint mortgage debt passed to me so I had little choice, he said I had made the children homeless, what a load of doo dah, they are his 3 children, my step children all aged over 18 at the time of our marriage, living in our new marital home at the time never paying a penny in board and lodgings, all working in good full time jobs and treating me as a unpaid lackey, no mister it was you not paying the mortgage and gambling on the hisses that did the damage so you and your little darlings have had a reality check...welcome to the real world matey...oops sorry for the rant going BR has stiffened my backbone, helped me find my va va voom and to stand up for myself...watch out world Im no longer taking bieng talked to like a second class citizen anymore....the old me is back...now where's that to do list I keep meaning to do before 50......ooh err I need to dust the unit ...cough sneeze she grabs a duster. Another exciting debt free day in NewStarts new start.......she wanders of whistling out of tune...........0 -
Hi NSGW, Good on you for standing up for yourself, i think we had the same breed of ex. He thought i was a feeble weak person when he walked away leaving me to pay for all our debts and running a business 12 hrs a day 7 days a week. I too found my backbone eventually went BR now he has to face up to his problems. Now hes blaming me for spoiling HIS NEW LIFE, what a great guy
Im over half way through my 12months and still think it was the best thing for me, Good luck with your interview, everything will be sorted soon

Hi my number....some men ehhh?..
Funny couple of weeks ago I was this jabbering panicking wreck, skint from saving up BR fees and not sleeping too well and frightened my BR would be refused and now....well I don't feel so panicky now, just hoping to get tommorow a OR interview over then I can move on forward from there...
I'm just keeping fingers crossed my friends BR goes ok in a few weeks time when she has saved up the fees.
I'm looking after her little girl this morning while she is at Uni in return I can use her washing machine, iron my stuff, and prepare the dinner, she brings home a bottle plonk and we have a good chat, some of my brill cooking and it's a nice Thursday to look forward to every week.
Saves her £40 in childcare, costs £1.50 in leccie and the foods brill. I get a couple glasses of plonk, my washing done and some company and its cost us both not a lot financially.......
I'm now looking into turning my back lawn into a vege plot....so am researching that at the minute, fresh veg mmmmm
Need to go scan local Freecycle see if there's anything free on offer of interest, so many wanted ads these days and not many offers...sign of the times.
Anyone got some links to cheapo meal sites ...
Am off to an amazing Chicken Jerk. Might have enough leftover for tommorow a lunch...byee for now:wave::wave:0 -

Thats it OR interview over, wasnt too pleasant going over old ground re debt/ex husband etc but needed to be done so they had a clear picture why I petitioned for my BR, all in all just as most folk said it would be.
So folks Id recommend it if your in a mess, taking all the advice from here re implications etc and do it...
For the first time in a long while, I feel I have a future to look forward too, know where I stand financially, skint:D:p:rotfl: but debt free:T , and can build on this experience, learn and move forward....wondering why Im still feeling that theres something round the corner going to ruin this new start for me, still time will tell, till then itsnot
and
to the negative twerps in my life, its positive all the way now:T:rotfl::j:j:grinheartshe wanders off into the kitchen still whistling out of tune and the neighbours just stuck his fingers in his ears....aww to heck with it up goes the whistling volume, crikey worra racket.....and as she bursts into off tune version of zippetty doo dah zipptty aye my oh my what a wonderful day, the curtain falls on New Starts BR journey and the new production NewStartsNewStart begins......watch this space as Arnie Schwatzie said I`ll be back............
