Thanks for some support! At the time when I booked, RA would have cost me £132 with a small case checked in while BA was £107.My last return flight was with BA though and so many people had their bags with them that all the space was jammed full.

No, it wasn't £132, you got the price wrong - you have already admitted this.

As far as claiming that "the riffraff tend to fly RA over BA to save a couple of quid" I would hope this was written tongue in cheek oddly in my previous posting I often saw multi millionaires stepping off ryanair flights.

Crikey, what's a multimillionaire look like that you can spot them getting off a plane? Do they have it tattooed on their head or something?:D
I'll be testing you next time we are both on a RA flight;)
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Of course, as you state, all things being equal, anyone would choose BA over RA but as we all know some are more equal than others.

I wouldn't ;) , I can't stand people reclining onto me (there is no need on short haul), so I choose Ryanair as I know they can't.

Plus of course, those with an artificially raised sense of self importance tend to fly with BA and I'd rather avoid them ;)

Yes it was £132! I have only added on 1 luggage fee of £50

Yes it was £132. It was £82 plus the £50 hold luggage (2 x £25).

OP thought, originally, that it was £182.

Sorry, I thought you were adding in the cost of the bag you claim you had to buy, and the toiletries, and the broken down train ...

just as a test I thought i would re-price up my trip to warsaw in june to see sigur ros and if i flew ba it would cost me £180.80 rtn with their "free" baggage allowance however I had paid just under £50 to fly RA to the same airport but without a bag, it would have been £120 with one though, as I dont need one for an overnighter, however I've just gone back to check if the flights had gone up for a fair/fare comparison and they've gone down to £22 rtn.

Rip off, con, ermmm does anyone know if i can claim the difference back etc etc?
