I am going to count today as #2, even though it was a bit cheaty as OH bought new fish for the tank and dinner went on the joint account. This is purely about my own spending right now though, so #2 counts, cheating or not!
  • NSD #4 and 4 in a row today.:j

Glad to be getting back into the swing of this NSD challenge!

Spent £4.30 today, but still claiming it as NSD #2

The only things I bought were for DDs house (a new lightbulb holder as she'd broken the bayonet fitting in the one in the hallway, and a new spotlight bulb for her living room fitting that was running on 1 out of 4!), so she will be paying me back for them - and that means it wasn't my money I spent ;)

Evening all, apologies for my more prolonged than usual absence. If I didn't update on Tues - I was out with DM, had a lovely day shopping and having tea, needless to say not a NSD but I spent less than DM :A

Yesterday WAS NSD #2 - spent all day cleaning my oven which now looks sparkling new - I am also off to apply for Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners :rotfl:

Today has been totally carp. A while ago I booked a Group0n for an MOT. Turns out the postcode for the garage was incorrect so a bit further away from me than expected. Went there today, waited 2hrs ( seemed to be running behind) only to be told it's failed :( It's a total pain for me to get back there although they have apparently moved some jobs around so I could take it tomorrow and wait until it's done, and the parts they've quoted for are £160 according to them (double :().

However I've looked online and even choosing the most expensive items, the parts still come to under £100. So I'm seriously considering just booking it into my normal garage (with my tail between my legs) and biting the bullet for a second cost of the MOT. IF they come up with the same fails, and the parts are priced at less I'll be complaining to Group0n for a refund. The garage today were also supposed to do a winter check with oil top up etc and I'm not convinced this was actually done either  Seems very much as case of buy cheap buy twice.

I feel bad about the garage today if they have moved jobs, and worried they will try and charge me for the parts they've ordered, but also can't help having a feeling they are trying to recoup some of the costs from the Group0n deal. any advise appreciated x

    Another update from me.

    Welcome to:

:hello: staceyofthelamp- hi and welcome to the madness that is the NSD thread, it’s good to have you on board. Freeby will add you and your target of 10 NSDs and 3 in a row to the front sheet. Good luck, you can do it, and you’ve got off to a great start with NSD no 1 already:j:j:j:j

    Well done to:

:j:j:j beanie - NSD no 2 nabbed and locked away now, well done you as always!:T

:j:j:j Cheryl - and another NSD no 2 bites the dust, that’s brilliant! You seem to be keeping (or being kept) busy at DDs house atm.. if you run out of things to do I’m sure I could find you a few jobs to keep you busy:D

:j:j:j donna d - NSD no 2 added to the pile, that’s brilliant. Keep going:)

:j:j:j Dragon - and another fabby NSD no 4 and 4 in a row. That’s a great start for you as always:)

:j:j:j each peach... - and you’re off the starting blocks with NSD no 1, that’s briliant. Keep going now, you can do it:T

:j:j:j HAW - NSD no 1 nabbed now, that’s brilliant. Hopefully this will be the start of a few more trotting obediently into the pile.. you can do it!:T

:j:j:j If - NSD no 2 safely nabbed now, that’s a great start for you as always, yay!!
    I like today’s pic, it gave me a much-needed reason to smile:rotfl:

:j:j:j Jelly - NSD no 3 added to the pile now, yay and 2 in a row as well. It’s definitely a start.. and a pretty good one as far as I can see:T

:j:j:j karen - NSD no 3 dragged kicking and screaming into the pile, well done you, that’s brilliant!:)

:j:j:j kerri - NSD no 2 added to the pile, well done you!
Re the garage, I’d be inclined to tell them you’ve found somewhere who’ll do the same job cheaper and see what they say..... there’s no obligation on you to go back but if you feel bad about it then at least you’ve given them a chance;)

:j:j:j mad_scientist - and that’s NSD nos 2 and 3 to add to the pile, that’s brilliant! Of course you can resist the shops after work tomorrow.. just imagine Jaws following you around, that should do the trick!:rotfl:

:j:j:j marmite - you’re doing great with NSD no 3 nabbed now, yay. Hope you enjoyed your day off?:)

:j:j:j ModestyB - wow.. that’s a pretty fantastic NSD no 4 you’ve nabbed... what, no spends at all this month? You must have found the chains and padlock again:rotfl:

:j:j:j OodNood - wow...another fanastic NSD no 4 nabbed and 4 in a row as well. You’re definitely getting back into the swing of the challenge, well done you!:T

:j:j:j roguelawyer - NSD no 2 added to the pile, well done you! If your rules are all about your spending then it doesn’t look as though you’re cheating.. and if you are, the only person you’re cheating is you. Seriously, that looks fine to me, so no need to feel guilty:)

:j:j:j The Boss - NSD no 2 added to the pile, woohoo. Keep going, you can do it!
One question... how on earth did you have a Lindt bunny left over from Easter?? ;)

I hardly dare show my face here at the moment:o:o I've been a seriously bad spoony this past few days and am still languishing on NSD no 1 :o:o

But on the positive side... I bought OH's present, nephew's, niece's (x2) and sister-in-law's today.. so that's a few birds killed in one swoop as it were;) and that's all the birthdays for April done. More spending tomorrow though:( but hopefully I'll be back on the straight and narrow on Saturday

Thanks spoons for the update, good to see you back and keeping us up to date.

NSD 2/20 for today, did pay out £1 for work wedding collection - but this was from loose change in bottom of work bag, and still have emergency £1 left ( feels like a cheat still )

Gonna go for 2 more NSD at the weekend. Have a freezer and cupboards full of stuff :o

    Happy Friday everyone
