Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Light cloud very light sprinkling of snow on the ground here this morning, it turned absolutely bitter yesterday afternoon, so am not surprised we've woken up to some snow.
DH and I up and decluttering a cuppa. Seems really strange getting a lie-in, we're normally up and about, neither of us can stay in bed once we're awake. Think DS2 is moving about but DS1 is still fast asleep in his pit.
Dinner last night was ham and cheese kievs, chips, beans/veg for the menfolk, I had mushroom omlette and salad. Hot cross buns for dessert. I remembered to get the salmon out of the freezer, so those that want can have battered fish (namely the menfolk!) and the other choice, which I will be having is steamed salmon, I will serve it with hot new potatoes, salad, pasta salads etc. The salmon is a whole fish I bought on offer at the SM a while back, can't decide how I'm going to cook it yet, may wrap it and steam in the top basket of the DW, (you obviously run the DW empty and not whilst your're washing the dishes!) you just put it on a half hour wash and check it at the end, depending on how big the fish is depends on how many half hour cycles it takes, but as the heat is not fierce it cooks beautifully and is never dry or overcooked. The menfolk have said they may have a small portion of salmon as well as their battered fish - I'm not worried if they do, just so long as there's enough to go round and hopefully some left so I can make a fish pie/fish cakes to put in the fridge/freezer. Bought most of the other bits I needed yesterday but have realised that I should have bought cider to make the braised red cabbage to go with Sunday's lunch - so need to get that before Sunday. Online shop arrived, only 2 subs and neither were a problem. Had to get the leg of lamb, and managed to get a whole leg at a very competitive price, so now hoping it cooks and tastes ok! Bought a new sack of potatoes too, and they have stayed at the same price, think it's about the only thing that has though! This is the first week of the GC again and I have spent loads,(have needed to buy toilet rolls, DW tabs, toiletries etc) but if we had been away we would have had the cost of diesel, cost of the stay and then extra food and drink, we very often go out to eat at some point when we go away too - so taking all these things into account we've spent less than we would if we'd gone away. On the upside we do now have loads in, so won't really need to buy anything more, have done a sketchy menu plan DH is working tomorrow and taking DS1 with him.
Today DH and I are going to collect the rest of the caravan equipment - then we will be at home doing clearing up jobs - porch still needs some attention etc. Hopefully will get to my sis's as want to take my niece and nephews Easter Eggs, and pay her the money for the hob and cooker.
Keep safe and well, take it steady those with snow x

A lie in for me & had hoped for a lazy start to the day, it's not going to happen, hubby's phones just rung, problems at work. Best go & get dressed, we need to go & sort it out.

Morning all,
Big hugs for Redrubys little dog, I'm sure it will be fine, it's amazing what they can do for animals now, hope everything goes ok.
It's lovely and sunny here, looks like spring but I'm sure it's chilly. I'm working this morning and most of the day but that's fine. I'm at home I might even put an Easter film on in the background.
Feeling good after my first fast day yesterday, I'm hungry but not starving this morning, so very pleased, shall fast again on Thursday. Dh and I have decided to give a small donation to Shelter every week. We are lucky in that we can choose to be hungry for a day, lots of people can't so what little bit we save on those days can be donated. Fell happy with this decision and am hoping it will keep me motivated.
Looking forward to eggs and bacon for breakfast, and most of all a nice cup of tea.
Have a lovely Easter whatever your up to xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Hi all
Weather looks good today (has looked good most days but very cold). Yesterday I thought we would have mass hysteria as a strange glowing orb suddenly appeared in the sky. I think I will chance putting some washing out on the line today.
Going to clean the bathroom too. Tea tonight is hm chicken & veg curry (with the emphasis on 'veg') with rice.
I started my first Christmas present last night - knitted scarves. It's growing VERY quickly as I think I am already halfway through it. Feels good to be making a start (last year everything was left to the last minute!)
Watched my first episode of SuperScrimpers on Catch-Up last night. They made shampoo go further by 'watering' it down 50/50 with mint infusion. Has anyone tried this? I'm just wondering if it worked or would I just be ruining my existing shampoo? :eek:Lightbulb moment: -£9,954.31 Current Debt: £0

Bright but cold here... Just had a knock at the door to find someone calling to see I'd dd1 playing out.... She's not even up yet!
Off to a messy church event this morning. I always try to do one thing a day with girls in hols when they are free it's even better!
Hopefully will straighten the house on return as it's a tip. But if weather holds I get the washing done and outside.Don’t put it down - put it away!

Hi Guys!
Alarm went off at 8, so kind of had a lie in this morning. No nurses today or PA, but I don't feel too bad, so thats good.
Not many plans for today. I'm resting and OH wants to finish up the garden. Not sure what DD is doing as she's still recovering from her sickness bug and still fast asleep.
If the weather stays dry, I may try and venture into the garden for a coffee later wrapped up of course.
Having a brunch of bacon, egg, mushrooms, beans and toast I think, then a Roast chicken dinner later or fish and chips, not sure yet as we'll see what energy we have left.
I have nearly done our accounts for this year and not looking to healthy compared to last year:( but not a lot we can do. I also need to fill in DD's financial forms and look for accommodation in halls for her. They start at £120pw with a shared bathroom or £150 for an ensuite. So expensive! If she wants to go to a studio or some of the other ensuites, they range up to £280pw:eek::eek::eek::eek:
Anyway, hope you all have a lovely day.
