    Afternoon all
Phew, what a chaotic few hours it's been, Mr T seem to have lost my click & collect order, seems to be click & forget, I can manage for a while yet, so they have time to sort it out. I'm fed up of chasing them.
DD2 came over with the DGC, she delivered my belated Mothers Day present, 4 patio fruit trees, 1 each, apple, plum, pear & cherry, hubby will have to plant them over the weekend but he doesn't know it yet.
I made up an Easter bags for each of the DGC, with an assortment of little eggs & some haribo.
    Have a good evening everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Oh, and speaking of christenings, she once had a crowd of children at a christening who were clustered round the font and running some toys round it. When one of the toys fell in the font she fished it out, said "I baptise you Thomas the Tank Engine" and handed it back to it's owner.

    Talk about a maverick.

    That is brilliant :rotfl:

Molly ,what a lovely film & music. I used to say to my children when I played in the car when taking them to school 35 years ago This is 19th century 'pop' music that will be around long after your gt grandchildren are gone and forgotten

I bought the 5:2 Diet Michael Mosley book for my Kindle and am working my way through it It looks like a very interesting read and at just over a couple of quid very good value as well.

Monnagran I too know a fantastic vicar He is the centre of his small community, and as he says "I Christen them, I marry them, and I often bury them".He really does think the world of his flock
His church is always packed on a Sunday with folk standing at the back. The most ordinary and down to earth chap you could imagine, and I'm so proud of him
He is my nephew, and will often wander into the local pub where he is greeted as a friend and someone who will always listen to folks problems If there were more like 'Our Hughie' the world would be a much more kinder place. He served in the Falklands as a padre during the war there and is always part of the Festival of Remembrance service every year at the Albert Hall.He drives down on the Saturday morning from his parish in Lancashire, and after the service has to return the same night to be there for his parish service at 8.00.a.m. on the Sunday morning. Its a 260 mile journey after a long and full day on the Saturday ,but he's never missed it yet.A great guy who likes the odd beer, and his two sons are super lads too who adore their Dad.Everyone is welcome in his church young and old and his boys help their Mum make the tea and biscuits which happen after morning service evry Sunday in the church hall and it gets all the people together and if their is someone not well or poorly he is the first to round up some help.He is a real community vicar. Our local chap retired where I live and quite often their is no one to even open up the church, very sad and number have dwindled down quite a bit over the past few years. Its nice to hear of a church that care about folk.
Well time to toddle and sort out something to eat
Take care all, and hopefully all of you will have a good Easter and maybe the sun might struggle out by Monday :):)

    Hi all,

Just reporting in after my first day of fasting. I'm so surprised I am a greedy girl who loves her food but I feel fine, had lots of pineapple this morning and a large salad with fish for tea. That's my 500 calls done but i feel fine and if I'm in bed for ten that's day one under my belt. Will do the next fast day on Tuesday. Oh is doing it with me, not to lose weight but he is very convinced by the health benefits after watching the programme and reading the book. Will just have to make sure he only fasts one day and eats lots the others or he will lose weight and we don't want that. He is extremely active and the kind of person who forgets to eat unless I remind him.
    No such problem with me:o
Looking forward to eating normally tomorrow, off to salivate over master chef, have a good evening x

Looks like she is diabetic :(, poor little thing, cost us am arm and a leg at the vets, they have sent bloods off to confirm it, but the vet is almost certain, she will have to be injected twice a day for the rest of her life, I have to learn how to do it, we have caught it early though, so fingers crossed no lasting damage, thanks for asking love, and thanks to Lamewolf and halight for the hugs xx

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
