So, what did your half-sister hope would happen to Gran? Have her diagnosed with dementia when she's clearly not demented? And then what? What were her plans for her?

Gran sounds to be living life to the full, and long may it continue. The trip to Scotland sounds like a great idea. We've recently had a trek round the Western Isles/Highlands, saw some wonderful scenery, at some fabulous food, met some lovely people. The only change since we were up there last is that everywhere north of Glasgow is in 2 languages. Reassure Gran that she doesn't need to be a Gaelic speaker, though!

The great news is that my Gran has been discharged as the psychiatrist said that her memory issues may be on the borderline of age related versus dementia, but in the absence of any issues regarding her functioning on a day to day basis she wasn't happy to keep her on the list.
    Excellent news Rachel.
She wants to go to Scotland to see her sister over the summer, so my hubby and I are going to take her up there so she can stay for a few weeks, she is very excited at the prospect, I just love seeing her happy!
Good for you two, I'm sure she is looking forward to her holiday.
Sister showed her hand a bit a couple of weeks ago, I said I found the whole talking about inheritance from those who were still alive really distasteful and upsetting and didn't want to hear anything more about it.
Not a bit of wonder you are disgusted at your sister, I would be too. I bet she didn't offer to take Gran to Scotland. Next thing she will be accusing you of trying to get more than her from Gran's inheritance! Tell your sister that you heard Gran say she is leaving everything to the local hospital (or something she will believe! :D ) That will wind her up! ;)
