    Good evening everyone,

Not sure if ive done a lot today or not, but boy am i glad its Friday!!! Have my mum staying the weekend, so not much cleaning will get done this weekend, and i really could do with giving upstairs a really good going over, but never mind.
So today i have done -

Baking, choc fairy cakes and choc chip cookies,
    Tidied the living room,
    Cleaned the bathroom and toilets,
Cleaned the kitchen floor (including under the kitchen table, yea me!!)
    Wiped the kitchen down,
    DW is on,
Half the paperwork sorted, still loads more to do tho!!!
    Hoovered downstairs.

Looks quite good when i list it like that!!! Like i said, hopefully i will get the hoover upstairs this weekend, will def be washing the bedding tomorrow tho, as thats one job that shouldnt take too long.
Right, have a great evening everyone, im going to see who has made the final of American Idol (actually i already know, i looked it up on the website and i was a bit shocked!!!)
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • I think I'm taking this doing nothing thing a little too far, this evening since I got home I've....

cooked myself dinner - oooh big effort, quorn crispy fillet, boiled new potatoes and veggies.

I've watched 2 episodes of Top Gear on UKTV G2

We've done the food shopping, took all of 20 minutes from leaving the house to getting everything put away.

And erm..... yeah .... nothing else

The photoshoot tomorrow has been cancelled, so there, I have absolutely nothing that needs doing this weekend that can't be put off, though some washing might be useful before I run out of clean underwear.

I think you guys could all be right about me trying to do too much. As there are only 2 of us, I'm considering spreading some of the cleaning over 2 weeks rather than 1 week, as some things really don't need doing that often.

But you can't get rid of me that easily, this thread is too motivating.

    Hi everyone

Not been around much as I have been at w**k Thurs/Fri but caught up on your posts tonight, wow haven't you all been busy :)

Still a tip here but got quite a few bits n bobs done before dashing out each morning so all is not quite lost, but the garden desperately needs doing. I looked out of the kitchen window this morning and noticed a thistle that must be 3 feet tall :o :o  in the border! Well saying that you can't tell where the grass stops and the border starts anymore :rotfl: combination of warm weather and rain has made the weeds shoot up. I think I shall tell anyone who happens to visit this scene of total CHAOS both inside and out that it is an ornamental thistle!

Not much chance of doing a lot over the w/e either DD has swimming lesson in the morning, bellringing competition for me in the afternoon plus need to visit my sister's to drop off some picture frames so that her kids can do a photo montage for DH's memorial service. Sunday we are visiting Nannie for b'day lunch and SIL to drop photo frames for more montage pics.

Blimey I am shattered just thinking of that lot! Will try to catch up on a few jobs as well along the way.

Take care and hope you all have a productive/relaxing w/e

oh id like to join this thread next week. Ive become a bit of a lazy sod from i had the baba 5 months ago. i used to dust, hoover and tidy every day and now its more like once a week.

ok so today i did the dishes (no dishwasher)
2 loads of washing put in, first lot hung out, need to hang the 2nd lot before bed.
washed down the benches in the kitchen
cleaned a little clutter from the livingroom (still a tip mind)
    and cleaned the upstairs loo

but yes, nextweek will be my week to jump back on the horse :)

AnW'sMum the bits and bobs all add up, if you've got bits and bobs done it all adds up in the end. Completely know where you are coming from with weeds, small forest of them trying to establish themselves in my garden!

LilMissEmmylou welcome :) I will post the link for the new weeks thread on this one when it's done on Sunday, hope you like joining us.

lil_me I wouldn't mind quite so much if the stuff I was trying to look after ie the potted Christmas tree that we got for outside the front door last Christmas, stayed alive! I think I must have overwatered it as it is looking very sad and brown :( to the point where I have probably killed it. But then neither DH or I were ever what you'd call green fingered, DH reckoned he could kill a rock garden! :rotfl:

    Hi Peeps

Just caught up with everyone and am amazed at the crossed out lists from everyone.

I have been flying but with my own list as the lounge still isn't done...hoping to almost finish it this weekend... and we've got our mouse problem back...Aaaargh....thought we were clear as we've filled everything to within an inch of it's life but then remembered we hadn't cleared the loft and we think there might have been a stray one or two so yet more trapping......Aaaargh.

Hoping to rejoin the nest properly next weekend as mum & dad are coming up to us for bank holiday. This includes tidying my jungle at the back so we can actually sit out there for a coffee.
