My AXA payment wasn't showing this morning, so I re-escalated my complaint to AXA.
I forwarded them the ticketed thread and they now know what I've been up against!
Compensation (nominal) requested against their agent (TCB) for extra work.
I have been promised a callback at around 2pm and we'll see what happens.
I'll update ASAP.No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -
On 16 April last year I used Top Cash Back to take out car insurance with The CoOperative Insurance. Nearly a year later and I am still awaiting my cash back.
Already frustrated by the slow progress to claim this payment, I today get a renew notice through in the post. If the Cooperative think I will ever use them again they are mistaken. What a completely wasted effort by their marketing department to link up with Top Cash Back and actively look to acquire new customers on the offer of a cash back incentive if it is never paid.
The claim process has been long drawn out. I suspect they hope that people will give up and go away. After making the initial claim for the missing cash back it was acknowledged in July last year. For the last six months however my account just shows "Confirmed - £60.60". Well if it is "confirmed" how about paying it and taking the matter up with the Coop.
I have used Top Cash Back for years but this saga has really put me off continuing to use them.
Off to search for new car insurance for this next year. I won;t be using the Cooperative and I won't be using Top Cash Back. Poor show from both businesses.0 -
Hello everyone,
@Shackeng - I am sorry to hear you bypassed the processed advised yesterday about this. I am more than happy to look into this still, if you drop me an email.
@Westin - I am sorry to hear this merchant is taking longer than originally anticipated to pay us. I would like the chance to investigate this a little more and if you could email me at mse@topcashback.co.uk I can do this.
@B_M - Estimates are based on previous payout times experiences as we can’t say what the future time taken to progress will be. We have addressed this question on this thread and also via support tickets. I am sorry you don't feel we have answered this in the past.
Please refer back to my post yesterday in regards to going to the merchant direct and that you and our other members are not the ones being paid by the merchant - we are. It would seem odd for member to directly challenge networks about commission due to TopCashback.
It's really important to bear in mind here the differences between commission payments and 'cashback'. Cashback is a financial incentive offered directly by the merchants. Commission payments to companies like us which we then pass on to our members are not the same. It's really important you note this distinction when clicking through any cashback site and earning cashback.
Members going direct to the merchants and not following the merchant and their networks preferred routes - which is via us, could affect the cashback experience for all members. I feel it is a good time here to explain merchants are under no obligation to offer commission payments to any cashback site. Continually bypassing the preferred channels may affect our ability to offer our members cashback in the future.
Best wishes,

Lol - you really don't get it!
The FOS state cashback incentives should be paid in a reasonable time and that waiting longer than 4 months would be considered excessive and could be challenged.
The FCA state making a complaint direct to the principal, even if it's against their 'Appointed Representative' as the principal is fully responsible for their AR's actions (or lack of). So, it's not odd to challenge the principal as that's what's expected by the FCA. What is odd, is that you Matt can't accept the directions given by regulatory bodies!
This thread needs a TCB employee like 'John' who used to address issues. Until that happens, TCB will be tarnished.
All financial cashback incentives I've taken out via any cashback site will be fully challenged if not paid with 4 months. As stated, Aviva will be next if TCB fail there too. Go on, surprise me.
I hope the Easter competition is going well!
I've been contacted this afternoon by AXA and they state my cashback will be available by Friday. The are actually calling me back on Friday to ask me for confirmation and to dot the i's and cross the t's.No payments from financial products from cash back sites? When I phoned Co-op to complain yesterday (see post 3411 above), the Manager I spoke with seemed surprised that I hadn't renewed with them this year. " Well, would you, after my experience?" I asked. Silence.0 -

The reason for not contacting you as requested is self-evident, none of my complaints to TCB on this issue have achieved a result, therefore I am obliged to look elsewhere for answers.0 -

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebate_(marketing)
"A rebate is an amount paid by way of reduction, return, or refund on what has already been paid or contributed. It is a type of sales promotion that marketers use primarily as incentives or supplements to product sales"
"Rebates are commonly offered by retailers indirectly, through the use of a third party rebate or Cashback website."0 -
Cashback is not an incentive to purchase, and is commission we gift to you as a cashback site. It is not an incentive or any sort of special offer and therefore is different to merchant organised special offers.

Talk Talk listings state " best ever savings" - isnt true as 110.00 cashback was offered during March for "fast broadband" - 22.95 is equal highest price Talk Talk have ever charged for "fast broadband"

" best ever savings" and a "gift" isnt the same thing in any way shape or form0 -

It's a shame TalkTalk Mobile have removed their cashback offers.
