Hi everyone, thank you for your messages and I hope you are all ready for the weekend!
@Sugarplum634 - Welcome to TopCashback! If you do use a voucher code that is not posted and approved by TopCashback, unfortunately it will lead to your cashback being declined in your account. We do often offer voucher codes for merchants and these are shown on the merchant page underneath the offers. You will need to select 'View code and get cashback' and it will then open the merchant's webpage. If you then go back to the merchants page on our site you will be able to copy this code from the voucher box.
@November2 - I am sorry that your cashback has gone on to be declined by Tesco. Ultimately this is a decision that is made by the merchant and we are not always given reason for this. In regards to your claim being put on ice until 22/06/2015, this is to allow some time for the cashback to uplift at all as some merchants such as Tesco do have validation periods, and this can effect the status of the cashback. If this time frame passes and your cashback is still showing at declined in your account, the claims team will then submit your claim to the affiliate network that deals with Tesco who will then be able to look into this accordingly.
@B_M - I am glad that Matt was able to clarify who generates these estimated payable speeds. They are based on the time taken for historic transactions to become Payable. We do appreciate that it can take longer in some cases, as we need to wait until the merchant passes the cashback onto us, so we do adjust these speeds as and when we are able to ensure our members get the most accurate time frames that we are able to offer. In regards to your Snap & Save transaction, I am glad that Helen was able to progress this through to payable for you and that you now have your cashback in your account.
I hope that this helps everyone with their queries, and I hope that you all have wonderful weekends.
Many thanks,
Sarah“Official Company Representative

Hi, thanks for replies. I may well try contacting Tesco directly to complain. TCB, I really can't see how a 'decline' can suddenly change to a payable status surely it should state pending in my account if that was the case.0

Hi Everyone,
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
@November2 - We wouldn't advise going to the merchant directly as sometimes they are not aware of the cashback process or how it works. Therefore it could be likely that they unintentionally give out misleading or false information. It can sometimes be the case that something changes from one status to the next depending on the reason for it being declined. I can assure you our Claims Team will try their very best to get this to happen for you.
If you do have any further queries at all please do let us know.
Have a great week everybody! Lets hope the weather picks up for the upcoming Bank Holiday.
Best wishes,

Time for me to pitch in again....
I buy a lot from Ebuyer Business.
I use TCB, most times it tracks, on occasion, I have to raise a claim..
Last 2 purchases made last week, the more expensive one NO Track, so claim raised..
The one which I did the day before DID Track, but now I noticed it is "Declined", and standard text shows """"This transaction has been declined, meaning the retailer feels that it is not eligible for cashback. """"
Soooooooooo, I look at TCB, see the advertisement for Ebuyer as a computer supplier, and advertising a cashback % percentage if I buy from that retailer over a non affiliate advertised merchant...
So I am LEAD to this retailer with the promise of a Cashback %.
The same promise is on the TCB website clearly labelled under "OUR BENEFITS",
which do state:
""""" Highest Cashback Guaranteed """""
followed by a 'WebUser' Award logo stating """" Get Money back on Online Purchases /WebUser Gold Award Winner """""
So following the click and purchase process 100% correctly as I do, I do find it bizarre a claim is tracked, then days later declined....
I'll pursue TCB for my missing cashback, as the promotion is from you, the affiliate.
And you really should remove that very mis-leading "Fair-Play Policy", as most seasoned TCB users know it is more misleading than your clients!0 -
Hi
Fairly new to this, sorry if its been covered before.
I looked at the TCB site, want to buy something from Land's End. The cashback rules say that any code not posted and approved by TCB will result in cashback not being paid. Fair enough, but when I go to the site the company have a current offer Sale 25% if you put in a Land's End code (given on the webpage) with your order.
Would this count as a 'TCB non approved code' or would I still get cashback?
<just wondering if I'd be better off going through nectar and getting the nectar points>
Thanks for any help

Hi Boodedoo and StuieUK34,
Thanks for taking the time to post a message.
@StuieUK34 - A merchant can decline a transaction for a different reasons. They may believe your order includes a voucher code not approved by, they may not see us as the last referrer or they may believe that your transaction is not eligible for cashback. However, now you have lodged a claim we can query this further for you to see what has happened. We do cover in our general terms and conditions that we can never guarantee cashback, but in the large majority of cases it does track and is paid as we would expect.
@Boodedoo - I have just taken a look at the merchant's site and can see that to get the sale price of 25% you do need to enter a voucher code. If a voucher code is needed and it is not displayed on our site unfortunately you should not use this if you would like to be eligible for cashback. However, when a voucher code is not needed to create a sale price, you would be eligible for cashback - unless it is otherwise stated within the offer terms.
I do hope this helps you both.
Best wishes,
