Can anyone suggest anything they / I can do? They have tried WD40, furntiture polish and lemon juice I believe. I'm not concerned about staining it at all so any ideas are welcome!!

    Soft graphite pencil lead :)

There are more suggestions here; I'll merge this later to keep ideas together.

Graphite works because it is an extremely effective lubricant, giving the surfaces of the zip it touches a fine, slippery coating.
However, it does not have any penetrating qualities, so it will be difficult to get it to penetrate into the surfaces of the zip that are already stuck.
WD40 would have been my first choice but, if that didn't work, a penetrating oil (from most hardware or motor accessory shops) would be next. The oil will seep into the stuck surfaces and help release them, but beware - it will seep everywhere else, such as into the material, so apply it very sparingly.
