I found it really useful last year and it's similar to yours.
Good luck with the clothes challenge, and enjoy the journey :)

I've cut right down this year on clothes purchases, and am getting better at only buying things I love and know I'll wear.

I have a wardrobe full of clothes, but lots of them I can't wear until I shift the weight I've put on in the last year through eating too much crap. I refuse to buy new clothes in a bigger size when I have a wardrobe full of unworn stuff waiting for me to step away from the cakes and biscuits!

Once I've shifted the weight I want to get rid of, I've promised myself to renew my undies because lots of them have seen better days.

On pretty much everything else, I work on a one in, one out basis (either rag bag or local charity).
This sounds so familiar to me!! I have put on weight in the last two years and am struggling to get into existing clothes. I did start buying a bigger size but then realised this is ridiculous when all I have to do is lose weight which would be the logical solution and would save a lot of money having to buy clothes in bigger sizes. The problem is I need motivation, we have not had a holiday for over six years so there has not been the incentive to try and lose weight, I feel I have stagnated in my mid 40's when it seems harder to lose weight.

I put 3 bags of rag out for the local red cross a couple of weeks ago.
Have bought nothing new apart from a new pair of trainers I need for teaching classes. Also gave a pair of shoes that were new but that hurt my feet and a pair of pumas that I had bought second hand but were slightly too big, so they also went into the red cross.

I dont actually go into clothes shops these days. I dont have spare cash at the moment anyway, I dont need anything new and theres more stuff I could give away both rag and saleable stuff and I'm going to aim to do that over the next few months.

Im also not buying new toiletries as I have tons of stuff and I have enough perfume to last me to the end of the year, easily.
