I had been at a funeral and was at the church for refreshments afterwards. This friend who I've known for 15 years was sitting beside me chatting to me and people being people were teasing him. So he made a face at me not realising of course I had seen him.
I'd be more concerned about people teasing someone who is a friend at a funeral, TBH.0 -
Why didn't you stop them from teasing your friend?Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0

Can't really work out what happened here to be honest.
Friend was being teased by some people. Friend pulled a face behind OP's back (who one assumes wasn't doing the teasing). Perhaps he was expecting support from OP and was expressing frustration that he wasn't getting it.
In which case, perhaps the OP is in the wrong, and the friend entirely justified."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I am reading it as the man sat next to the OP. The friends were teasing him about being with her, and he pulled a face as if to say 'no way, I wouldn't go there'
If that is the case, then I would be very hurt and can understand you feeling upset.
Of course I could have it wrong altogether!OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Aah, yes. That would be very hurtful. Like I said, can't work out what's going on. We've not really been given much detail."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
If he pulled a 'I wouldn't go there' face, he either really likes you or he wouldn't go there. Unless you are wanting to get jiggy with him, does it matter?Sanctimonious Veggie. GYO-er. Seed Saver. Get in.0

How would you feel if you caught a friend making faces at you behind your back. Would you be hurt or would you let it go over your head?
On the inside, I would be hurt and, being completely honest, cross
but ...
On the outside, I would look them in the eye and ask them if they are feeling ok. When told that they are I would ask them if they are sure because I saw their face spasm.0 -
If someone is pulling faces at anyone, they ought to have the bottle to do it to their face.
Pulling faces at someone behind their back is so rude and childish..... well either that or i'm getting too old.:(This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It depends
If I'm 6- I'd go home and cry to my Mum about it.
If I'm 16, I'd whinge to all my other mates and plaster it all over facebook.
If I'm 26, I'd think pulling faces behind someone's back is very odd behaviour for an adult.0 -
I don't think I'm getting this - were they teasing your friend and he was pulling a face at you to lighten the mood/look for support? What were they teasing him about - was this while he was still sat next to you? Tbh the whole thing sounds very immature, if it's upset you this much then just talk to your friend about it.0
