Late payment fee... But I wasn't late!?

in Credit cards
Hi,
I have a natwest student credit card, a payment was due 23/3/13 of £36.20. I paid:
£26.69 on 6/3/13
£10.00 on 6/3/13
£10.00 on 11/3/13
Now my maths isn't brilliant, but surely this means that I paid my minimum amount before the deadline of the 23rd? I've now been charged a £12 late payment fee which has taken me over the credit limit, meaning I'll incur other charges as I don't have the money to pay it off to under the limit until saturday.
How do I go about sorting this out? I'm baffled as to how it's saying I've not paid, and furious that it's cost me money when I've paid more than required...
Thanks for any help, I'm useless with stuff like this but am pretty sure this shouldn't be allowed to happen?

What date was the bill produced?
Could it have been produced after the payments on 6/3?0 -
When payments were made my account was showing the minimum payment amount and the date as 23/3/13 to pay it by, I normally only have to pay around £10 but had missed a payment the month previously (and been charged then). However this charge was applied on the 25th, and definitely paid when my account told me the amount that needed paying.0

Also refunds do not count towards minimum payments.
Were any of those 3 credits refunds?0 -
You have probably paid too early - some/all of the payments have counted against the previous statement. You need to pay the minimum amount between the date of the statement and the due date.0

they were all payments directly from my bank account in the same way as I've always paid0

What date was he statement produced on, this is critical information.0

Thank you, I'm going to give them a ring tomorrow and see if they can help at all. All 3 payments were made after my account began showing the new payment due by date, and the new amount to pay, paid in the same way as normal, etc... I'm hoping it's an error as I wouldn't have paid it had the date not updated which doesn't normally happen until the new bill is there.0

My statements all get produced on the 26th of the month, so not until today0
-
so should it not have been £36.20 + £12 for the previous missed payment?0
-
no, my minimum payment is always stated online, the charges are simply added to the account as a normal transaction would be (I've asked this previously). The normal payment is around £10 a month, this month was significantly higher however due to missing the previous month. The previous statement date is 26/2/13, this statement is as of yet unavailable but they're dated the 26th of every month for the last 6 months, with payment having been due on the 23rd.
Is there a way to find out when my bill is produced aside from using the 26th as my guide as that's always been the date that the statements list? I can't afford to keep having charges added when I'm paying the card0
