Sorry jeff I have you on ignore so didn't realise you had actually asked me a question :)

Why lie? You have no reason to have me on ignore. And yet you still have not answered my question. Silence is deafening.

GT, you're right his last sentence was a bit rubbish, but you yourself well know that you and others offer advice that is either wrong or down right illegal including you telling people to sell tickets on Gumtree for instance.

Save money yes, tell people to do things that are illegal is very very wrong.

    Agreed

jeff , I never thought you of all people would promote such a thing and repost that for all to see, but its down to peoples' conscience what they do with an unwanted ticket and not some greed train company that wants to fleece passengers, either way for a traveler it still a valid ticket which is better than no ticket and been a fare dodger.

jeff, I've only been told off the once for a naughty posting by the MSE team and amended the post immediately, so perhaps my posts ain't illegal/wrong as you would like to believe or report ;)

Actually it's not a valid ticket as they bought it on Gumtree. Blatant fare evasion, surely? (That was a rhetorical question by the way...). Joe Bloggs pockets the money, not the 'greedy' TOC.....The hard part is proving the bearer isn't entitled to it.

Of course the TOC are being greedy trying to prevent Joe Bloggs selling his unwanted ticket.

The TOC has been paid the correct fare already when Bloggs bought the ticket. They were happy with that.

For whatever reason he cannot use the ticket, so sells it on Gumtree. The TOC don't lose anything when a.n. other actually uses the ticket.

Just the same as when I buy 6 tickets for unnamed passengers in a group, and the group content changes prior to the journey taking place! Different people travel than the tickets were bought for.

Only jobsworths could refer to it as "fare evasion"!

YOU may think so. Given that I happen to know that Yorkie is a highly respected ticketing expert on another, rail, forum which has been mentioned earlier I would beg to differ!

Ahh isn't it strange how you revert to writing correctly instead of the text speak you normally do ,when you're on the back foot.

Now if you and roster think Yorkie is wrong, prove it. Arguing the toss with me or anyone else and evading the question speaks volumes.

Oh and how pathetic to insinuate I report your posts, let alone your sriupid signature which is lies and could lead genuine people on this board falling for your wrong information. Truly is pathetic and quite worrying too.

Unfortunately its a fact of life that there are many people out there who think just because someone can write with authority it means that what they say is true.

You say he's highly respected on this other rail forum. All I think this proves is that there are a lot of very gullible people on that forum :)

I find it best to put people like jeff on ignore. It makes the MSE forum a much more pleasant experience ;)
