I have been refused a debit card from Barclays, all I need it for is the cash machines so I can withdraw my money at a hole in the wall instead of going down to the bank all the time. Is there a card that will do this for me, my ex messed up my credit but I don't want a credit card. Please help this is wearing me down.:(

Have you asked for a cash card as opposed to debit card? Cash cards cannot be used in shops etc only at ATM.0

Depends on your account, ask them just for a cash card it will allow you to withdraw your money from cash machines.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Thank you, why didn't they tell me this at the bank ?0

When you go to Barclays tomorrow, ask to open a Cash Card Account.

You get a visa debit card (you can even personalise this), online / internet banking and all the usual other 'standard features' of a current account.
They offer to customers from all credit histories. But you have to ask specifically for this, staff will always try and sell you another account (in my opinion)
Hope this helps!0 -

You don't automatically get a debit card on this account as they now credit score you for a debit card, and I believe they are now also starting to credit scoring for the Cash Account.
Go into a branch ask to speak to an advisor and see if they can arrange for a cash card on your account.
What is the account you have with Barclays called?Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

Then you must have a reasonably OK score with Barclays for them to allow the Visa Debit card.
As stated before not everyone gets it many are just allowed a cash card.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0
