Canada Square Operations Phone Number

Can anyone help - I am trying to claim back CRP from Egg (Canada Square Operations now) and I firmly believe and recall telephone conversations with them about this back in 2001 - but they say I have added it online/taken it out online. My feeling is I had no idea this was the case, which in itself is worrying. but I remember a conversation being led into taking this. Does anyone have any experience of being able to get money back from them on this type of thing and how much might be outlying -I had this on a card for around 9 years

I am having a bit of trouble with them over change of name & address documentation too.
Initial communicatios were very brisk; claim made re two loans and upheld within a week, I couldn't believe my luck! I sent back the claim form. The cheque, for a substantial amount, was supposed to be issued within 20 days. That was at the beginning of April; still waiting.
Another letter came. Seems I had another loan which may also have had PPI mis-sold, but it's a standard computer generated letter asking for more details of my identity and suggesting various items which would be accepted - but nothing specific about what information they required in my particular case.
I figured a letter stating previous address and how long I lived there, proof of current address, proof of change of name, and proof of date of birth should do it. They already have the account number. Sent off, by recorded delivery, with certified copies of passport, marriage cert, and current utility bill.
Fast forward two weeks, today I receive another standard computer generated letter, identical to the previous one, the only difference is the date! :mad:
Of course, they are now shut until Tuesday. I've emailed the crt.assist address to ask for some guidance, otherwise It's just a guessing game as to what's going on and what they need me to prove.
Also, I am mightily peed off that they seem to have either lost or disposed of documents containing very personal information.

For the past 2 years, I've been living and working in China. Last week I received a re-directed letter from Canada Square Operations, with regards to my PPI claim. I emailed then straight away to see if I could bypass the form filling but no replies so far. I also tried to contact them on 08003582101, but I can't ring 0800 numbers from China. So does anyone have another telephone number for Canada Square Operations, preferably a landline number, that I could ring?

You can't "bypass" the form filling. Reply in writing as instructed.

I have been dealing with these people for over a year now and think that there is clearly a communication issue within their organisation! I have received the same letter several times, provided them with identification and proof of address on more than one occasion. They claim they have not received items I have sent been though I have always sent recorded and tracked the items? I finally received a cheque after going through this ridiculous process, only to have it made out in my maiden name!! They are now saying they haven't received my acceptance letter, which they obviously have, or they wouldn't have issued the first cheque!! The personnel on the phone are always polite and try to be helpful but it is never "their department" I need to speak to! I'm hoping this actually will be resolved, but reading some of your posts, am not holding out much hope!

I took a loan in 2004 or 2005 from then Egg which i cleared 2 or 3 years ago. i have got no information whether i took any ppi with them or not. never been in reclaiming scene so bit nervy.

will be thankful if you can give me some info

1) whats the address/ email/ phone i need to get in touch to establish that i had ppi?

2) which organistation is currently responsible for them as i can recall few letters recieved in those years informing me of someone else taken charge of their matter?

I know this was a few years ago, but I was wondering if your cheque was ever re sent.

I recived a cheque from them on Monday, I cashed this on Tuesday and today I checkhed my banking to see that the cheque has now been ‘unpaid’

There are far too many respondents to this thread for me to know to whom you are addressing your query.
What I can tell you, though, is that it's very unlikely that there will be any response four and a half years on.

Contact the Bank. They are the only ones who can tell you why it may have been recalled. Have you any unpaid or outstanding debt with this lender?

I tried to email at that address but received it back by mail demond saying they cant find that email address.
