We have spent months writing to Canada Square Operations to try and reclaim our PPI compensation and up to letter 5 now. After sending valid information to them for name change (marriage certificate) and them acknowleding this we have just received another letter saying thy need such evidence again. Talk about going round in circles or them not wanting to pay!!!!:mad::mad:
I have seen their phone number here in the forum so thank you for that but has anyone got any more advice.0 -
Wadadli, the evidence of ID is ridiculous. I rang the number to complain about it and the PPI department allegedly do not have a phone number so unfortunately you have to write to them, frustrating I know.
Love your username btw, my family's country!0 -
Hi Everybody.
I got a letter from Canada Square Operations informing me they may of mis-sold my policy to me. I was reading through the leaflet about what they should and should not of said.
I complained that they never told me it was an option, that they never said the full amount would be bundled in with the loan at the start and be charged apr on top and I was also told that if I lost my job for any reason all the payments would be made direct no questions asked.
I received a letter saying that Canada Square believe that because in my initial application form I stated that at that moment in time I did not have an alternative in place to cover the payments they believe the true information would not of affected my decision.
Anybody else have this? Obviously I intend to fight the decision.0 -
Hi folks,
I phoned them, and got straight through. I was told that an acknowledgement letter had been sent on the 19th August and that I would receive a cheque approximately 20 working days from this date.

Just telephoned 0800 358 2101 - answered within 5 seconds by an informative advisor who clarified my query - no problems what so ever with this number .0

I have finally got through after trying for several days, to be told I have to write in asit is being dealt with by another department. They had no email or contact number to give me to speak to them. Its a joke!!0

I've used the number posted here, and the staff there were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful. The Post Office have managed to lose my comp cheque and they are tracking it down/issuing a new one if necessary. Can't fault their claim process at all - completely painless :T0

Just been in the phone to this company (if you can call them that) for the 3rd time - again because of a name change abd marriage certificate! Been trying to get my cheque since June this year, each time I've called I get the same story if "can't see why your cheque hasn't been ordered, no reason why not, can only apologise blah blah blah it will be with you within 20 days etc etc". Utter rubbish, phoned again today and demanded cheque within 7 days or I will report them to financial ombudsman for withholding my money! Of course I'm told I still have to wait 20 days! If its not here within 20 days I will report them. Rant over!0
