Eek. Just found £20 at the train station, everyone had just got on the train (i missed it) and there was no one around. Waited until the train came back the other way to see if someone had got off the next stop and come back but noone got off...
In the end I came home... but... I feel guilty like I've stolen the £20. Don't know what else i could have done? HmmMisc debts - £5,000 | Student loan - £9,000 | Mortgage - £180,000

I have so many things I want to do, decorate the house (it is a dump, we are doing it a little at a time as and when we can afford it, it's taking forever) we all need new clothes and I really want to buy fabric and patterns so I can give dressmaking a go.
But until at least the secured debts are gone, I can't allow myself to go spending and its making me really
don't be so hard on yourself. And you are allowed to spend money on essentials. If you need new clothes, then you need to buy them/make them. The positive thing is you are aware of your debts you are working towards paying them off, but you still have to have some kind of life.
do you already try charity shops for the kids/yours/DH's clothes? what about looking for local facebook selling pages where you are? Kids clothes go so cheaply on there! I kitted my son out for £5, newish trainers, 2 pairs of jeans, 2 t-shirts. wouldn't pay that in the shops! and all the stuff was in fairly good condition.
and if you want to give dressmaking a go, why not buy some fabric and give it a go? in the long run it will work out cheaper for you.0 -

you could hand it in to a local police station and if it is unclaimed within 6 months, it is yours, but we have all found money as in notes in the street and no one around to ask if it is theirs. I have found £10 before and DH found a £10 two years in a row in exactly the same place.

Hi guys,
Would those of you doing the On Device thing mind telling me when you last got paid (just for having the app)
I downloaded it & got paid no prob first month, two payments of £2.50. Now it's been over a month since I got the second £2.50 (when I thought I would be due my next payment). I emailed them & had a reply saying I would get my payment with this months payments which were due shortly, but reading back on this thread it seems some of you have had payments recently??? Just wondering if they're trying to fob me off???
Are payments normally made on a set date, or monthly from when you downloaded???
Thanks for the help!Make £10 a day challenge = Aiming for £100 a month

payments are supposed to be around the same time each month, give or take a few days.
I called up last week and complained to the guy who is dealing with it, sorry 2 weeks ago at 6pm! shows how late they work. they had technical problems so pyts were late. He said everybody should have been paid by last Friday for March, and April's pyt will be on time.
So call them and chase your money. You should receive a pyt of £5 why they are paying you 2 x £2.50 and underpaid Nat......

Thanks for the heads up on the free listing Aesop. I have a load of things I need to sell but not sure if eBay is the right place.
My mother has had to clear my grandfathers house and there is loads of china, ornaments and plates etc. some of them I think are quite valuable. I have been given the task of selling them but I have no idea where to start. If anyone could give me some advise on the best places to go with his sort of thing it would be most appreciated.
Also £7 to add from an eBay sale yesterday.Make £10 a day in May- £90/£1500 -
I think new sign ups receive £2.50 payments twice a month. I signed up a year ago so get £5.
£19 for a BIN on eBay, hopefully get a few more of these today as the listing are ending tonight, fingers crossed!2025 Mortgage start £378K 2025 Overpayment £103 Savings Challenge 2025 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -

China, ornaments, etc. would probably go for more at Auction. The best thing to do is google your local auction house and give them a call. Make an appointment to go and see them and see how it works. You do need to pay fees for auctions and not sure about valuation fees but they can help with all that.0
