Somebody Has Stolen Our Pushchair!

Sorry I realise that this is a bit of a pointless thread if there ever was one but I am stunned and need to put it down somewhere. I took my children to see the GP this morning as we have all had flu for almost 2 weeks now with no sign of it going away. The surgery was very busy so I parked my daughters pushchair in the porch area where everybody else leaves theirs too and thought nothing more of it. When we went back for it afterwards it was gone. I have asked the staff to please let me know if anybody brings it back but I am not overly hopeful.

That's awful! Hopefully it will have been a rushed parent who's taken the wrong one and it will get returned soon.0

This is of genuine concern to me, as we are about to spend £700 on the travel system i am in love with (massive treat!).
I watch people leave them in all sorts of places, I'd never leave my bike unlocked, so I'm getting one of those pram locks - like a climbing karibina to secure it.
I really hope someone returns yours op - I've heard of many people having theirs stolen (at swimming pools/play parks) and its truly disgusting behaviour. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
The pushchair itself is over 4 years old so cannot imagine anybody mistaking it for their own. It also had a very distinctive hand made blanket in it which was a gift for my daughter and I think I am actually more upset about the loss of this. We only live about 5 mins from the surgery but it felt like it took hours to walk home as without pushchair and buggy board I had to carry the two younger children. Thankfully the teenager had no expectation of being carried!0

Bearing in mind the cost of prams etc these days, Im surprised more people don't buy locks for them.
So many bikes get stolen that are only half the price lolmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
We have a pram lock for our better pushchair but had never even considered this one at risk. It is a baby jogger city mini, certainly nothing special that I would have considered a theft risk.0

Keep an eye open and see if it pops up on Gumtree or eBay. What a crummy thing to do!If you lend someone £20 and never see them again, it was probably £20 well spent...0

Any CCTV in the reception, they normally do have it for irate patients.Be happy...;)0

I can't believe someone would do this. Maybe I was lucky but we used to leave the buggies outside when we went to the clinics etc.
Perhaps it's a sign of the times.0 -

No they don't have anything like that at our surgery which although would have been helpful now, I am glad about.0 -
Sorry to hear about that but I'm not surprised, even secondhand ones on market stalls can go for over a hundred quid.If someone can make a fiver out of it then its worth stealing.
Look on Gumtree, local ads in the free paper,Ebay and at your local market.Next time I'm afraid you will have to lock it up against a solid object.0
