We eat out most Saturdays either Italian, Thai or Turkish, we have some nice restaurants locally. Last weekend we went to Pizza Express with one of our grandsons it came to just over £50.00 for 3 of us.
It can be more expensive if we go out in a group.

About once a week to a local pub where you can get a couple of course for about £6 and its much nicer than wetherspoons. Once a month or so to a really nice Scottish restaurant that does a lunch menu for £7.50 for two courses, massive portions and the bright spot in my rather dull home town.
And the odd deal here and there on groupon as well. Been to a cafe called Bonsai in Edinburgh through groupon a few times, usually the groupon offer is £20 worth of food for £9 and its well worth it, lovely food.

I go out once a month or so with a group through the meet up site and this week we are going to a Chinese buffet night, is about £14, all you can eat.

We used to have a routine of at least weekly till health knocked that. A couple of years ago, after moving, we re established a routine of going out at least monthly, just the two of us. Anything with friends was extra.

Last summer my health went down hill again and I find eating out difficult, I can feel ill or just uncomfortable (physically) and self conscious and so we have let the habit drift again. I think we need to re establish it, because as well as liking good food, we enjoy the opportunity to make an effort just for each other and 'date' and more formal surroundings are good for that. :)

We vary, sometimes me & OH will go out once a week for 3 or 4 weeks running, either on a Friday or Saturday evening. Usually, within that 3-4 week period, one or both dd's who still live at home will come with us, one dd came with us last Saturday for an Indian meal, next week, on a weeknight, it's eldest dd's birthday so 6 of us will go out, us 5 & dd's boyfriend will join us. Occasionally, we won't have a meal out for 2 weeks. We're lucky to have a fair bit of disposable income so can have nice meals out.

We vary where we go, usually Thai or Indian if we go with dd's, Loch Fyne is a favourite (youngest dd won't come because it's mainly fish) or a couple of pubs a 20 minute drive away that have that more romantic atmosphere for couples. We find eating out as a couple is ideal as OH works long hours and dd's are in the house so it's our time away to catch up on our week without dd's being around. That said, spending time eating out with our family is lovely for that quality time together.

We tend to get a take-away on a Saturday night, usually Chinese or Indian but sometimes fish & chips.

On a short break, say 4 or 5 days, we stay B&B in a hotel so we eat out every night, but the last 4 or 5 years on holiday, we've gone all inclusive and found in the main, the quality of food to be very good.

Pollycat, we had the set lunch at Le Gavroche which costs £52 pp and includes a bottle of wine, limitless coffee, and four courses + petits fours. It was delicious and the cheeseboard was the largest I've ever seen! It's not just the food, but the whole experience, as Michel Roux came out of the kitchen and spoke to everyone, saying Happy Birthday to my son, who was given a dessert with a candle as extra. It was rather nice for a special occasion, although I did tell my son he wouldn't get much else for his birthday! Interestingly, although each course is not large, you still emerge feeling stuffed! I must emphasise, my usual meals out are to the local Indian!

Sometimes we might not got out for a few months and then we go out every other week, it just depends how we feel.

We tend to go to the usual chain restuarants, like TGI Friday, Garfumkels, Zizzi, Balans, that sort of thing, and would pay between £40 - £50 for the two of us

Very rarely, mainly because my OH has become such a good cook over the years that we can eat a better quality meal at home than most meals we would get in a restaurant at a fraction of the cost.
