Two questions on debit cards

in Credit cards
1st question is, does anyone know if Halifax debit cards beginning 4462 91 are online or offline cards? Tried to use it at pay@pump the other day and it said transaction cancelled kiosk only. Tried to speak to Halifax who didn't have a clue!
Next question is: I was just comparing my old mans RBS visa debit card and his was contactless - any idea why mine isn't lol? Did they stop doing them? Also, same as above, does anyone know if card numbers beginning 4762 30 are online or offline?
Thanks in advance

All Halifax current account cards are offline.
If you have the dark blue RBS card it is offline, if you have the greeny blue one its online.0 -

Cheers, looks like my old man has offline card and I have online - would this also explain why his is contactless?
Perhaps the problem on Friday with the Halifax card was merchant related rather than bank.0 -
Is that you with the glasses and fuzzy hair in the picture?0

4462 78 (last 2 is the key) is a card that will work in a pay @ pump. But they may have a large range of numbers, that do or do not work.
Talk to them again. But DO NOT say ONLINE/OFFLINE.
Ask if the card is a AUTH ALL card. In effect same as a old Electron card. May need to talk to the cards or credit services department to get to the truth
Also contactless cards can be auth all cards (what some people consider online)
I have a 02 prepay contactless that has to authorise before taking payment.
Online/Offline is a bad way of explaining the situation. As pay @ pump are zero floor limit and as such EVERY card has to go for authorisation.
The diffrence is some cards (Auth All) have to authorise for the FULL amount, which P@P do not. They auth for a £1 or £2.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

My Halifax card is 446291 and its contactless and works at Pay@Pump.
I think the last 2 digits are more to do with the account type.
71 may be a Standard account 91 the Reward accounts and i'm not sure what is on the Ultimate Reward Accounts.
The CashCard account also starts 4462 and i'm guessing this is an online card as its for kids.0 -
