Sorry but you;re out of line - a mate warned me about tihs forum and she was right. What's an OP?! Why do i care anyhow?
I'd respect your opinion if you had tried it out, it's free for gods sake. You wouldn't have to wonder then.
Couldn't understand why Igot a treat Newbies nicely message when i registered: now I know why...life is too short
This sort of reply does make it look as though LEJC is right ?Obstacles are things a person sees when he takes his eyes off his goal.0 -

As a very cynical ex teacher, no way is anyone going to tutor for £5 an hour when even non qualified maths uni students charge £15 an hour. Maths is the most sought after subject for home tutoring.DONT BREED OR BUY WHILE HOMELESS ANIMALS DIE. GET YOUR ANIMALS NEUTERED TO SAVE LIVES.0

My son has just had his lesson - fantastic! The teacher was 15 years qualified, had been teaching in schools today and was excelent. I asked him about Tute and he said they have a few hundred tutors and deliver lessons in primary and secondary schools nationally. He thinks they are doing really well and are just expanding into the home market now.
My son really enjoyed the lesson and formed a relationship with teh teacher quickly - said it was 'cool' and wants more over the easter hols.. At £5 I'm happy
Would recommedn this to anyone
Formed a relationship with the teacher?
I've just had a look. The £5 is for 'live lessons' which is SHARED online learning.
One to one is between £15 and £25 an hour.
So,how does your son form a relationship during a short, shared online lesson? If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
I'm £25 a week to a tutor for an hours maths for my son who is s3 at high school. It's certainly made a difference.
She's also a high school teacher within the same authority, so she knows where it's at.
Have to say though finding a maths tutor was like asking for an elephants ear on a bun!!! Very hard to come by.Don't try to keep up with the Joneses - Drag them down to your level - it's cheaper .0 -
I find it varies whether it's Maths or English in demand (but I do primary so do both) - couple of years ago it was definitely a Maths year, but last year it was all English!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
