If you love something, let it go, if it comes back its yours forever, if it doesnt it wasnt yours in the first place.

I dont give any weight to that saying at all. In fact I would go as far as to say I deeply dislike it. To me it suggests that you love someone and should set them free if problems arise. If they decide to come back to you, no matter how much later that may be, then you were meant to be and can have them forever. If they dont come back, then you were never meant to be together in the first place. Suggesting you pretty much wasted any time you were with them for. A total kick in the teeth, no?

I believe if you love someone you tell them, you talk openly and honestly, treating each other with respect all the while. Once everything has been said, you can then make a decision as to whether you will be together or not :)
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
