If you move frequently then you have to accept that the Broadband products available to you are extremely limited.

The product you want doesn't exist, and isn't likely to. Why would any ISP provide you with a free line install for you to walk away after a couple of months, thus losing them money?

Is asking for less than £35/month for any form of internet the moon on a stick? I don't think it's that ludicrous especially as the vast majority of the fee is for a massively overpriced installation fee that takes 15 minutes. Who has the money to pay this much for internet when living alone on top of heating bills, phone bills, electricity, water, council tax, etc.?

15 minutes would barely cover a reconnection. The price is the same for a new line provision, which might take hours, and cost hundreds. OR have always worked on a flat rate charge whereby the easier installs subsidise the more complex ones.
The deal you want does not exist.

The answer to your question is yes, as everyone is telling you no one will provide a short contract on your terms.

If you cannot afford it then like others in the same situation you will have to do without, broadband is not a necessity, if as you claim you need it for work then you will have to pay the going rate for it.

On what basis? You need to provide the framework for your question. (I'm not reading the whole thread). :P

    Maximum contract length?
    Maximum connection payment?
    Minimum usage allowance?

That's just 3 critical points that needs answers before anyone can even begin to offer any proper advice.

If you read the thread and their previous one they want a one month contract with cheap line rental, free line installation and connection and unlimited download, they appear to move property faster and more times than most people have hot dinners.

It is never going to happen.

I have only one simple requirement - unlimited broadband (surely not much to ask in 2013?)

After that, I need the lowest possible price for a 3 month contract including connection/disconnection fees and line rental. At the moment, I can't see anything for less than about £50/month!!!!

For those who said it couldn't be done - I think I've got the price down to £32 for 3 months and £23 for 6 months. Just need to call rounds a few more providers.

6 months? But only a moment ago you said it needed to be a one month or maybe a 3 month contract?!
To state the obvious, if you stay 6m, the provider will take 6 times the revenue that they would for one month, to offset aganst the fixed start up costs, so of course the price is better.
