    Before asking for the *best* deal you have to decide how many minutes and texts you actually need.
    £209+24*17=617.

    The cheapest 4S is £449 from Apple and can be used on Ovivo PAYG (150m+150t+400Mb) for one-off £15 and £0 monthly cost.

    Why do you want to spend over £400 for an iphone?

    You can get a great android phone for around £50.

    What will the iphone do that you need that a good android won't?

    Other than make you a magnet for thieves and muggers......

    Come on... Decent maybe, but not great.

    Thank you I do understand your question. the main reason I want an iphone is it does Face time and my grand daughter lives abroad. I have an ipad I can Face time on but a phone means I can talk to her when ever we want.

    Thank you Grumbler. I does sound better to buy pay as you go but it is a lot upfront. If I have a pay as you go can I still get face time. The deal is better as I dont use the phone much for anything else.

    Agreed. As much as it would be great to get an android phone for £50 then pay nothing every month. My philosiphy is to get the best bang for buck on the best. So for example i wouldn't want a cheap £50 phone. Rather try and get a £500 phone free on £22pm with mins/texts/data so it equals/costs less than the cost of the phone. That's value for me. Especially because i need unl data.

    The fact that the OP wants a deal with 300 mins means that Ovivo would not be great for him.

    Tbh that iPhone deal is quite expensive. In general iPhone's are more expensive. Is there a reason you want to go for an iPhone OP? You can get much better phones for the same price/lower. Or it could work out cheaper to buy the iPhone outright if you're a low user.

    Is it a fact?

    OP=Original Poster
    And yes, everything will work on PAYG the same way as on a contract.

    Sorry, OP stands for "original poster". I use it when i can't remember the username i'm responding to.

    I think if you need under 150 mins then the Ovivo deal will be good for you. Only thing i will say is that make sure you're connected to your home wi-fi when using facetime when your home. That way it won't use up your data allowance for 3G.

    @grumbler, sorry! misread it. Thought he said he wanted 300 mins. But that was just the deal
