Get it checked. Even if you have not broken it it could need putting in plaster. I tore ligaments in my ankle and had to have it in plaster.

Sounds like it should be a trip to A&E, good luck raq

    Happy moneysaving all.
  • I broke my big toe, only realised i had when i couldnt feel it as it went numb. Go to A&E as at least if it is broken they can check and reset it if need be. Otherwise you may have problems at a later date with it. I had my leg plastered up to the knee due to it being the big toe (balance). I always feel more pain in it when my feet get cold now.

Definitely see a doctor if it's still bad tomorrow. I badly twisted my ankle a couple of years ago. I didn't see a doctor because I could still walk on it and the swelling went down very quickly. When the ankle still hurt after 6 weeks I went to the doctor. I ended up being referred to a physio and discovered I had damaged the Achilles tendon. I had 6 months of physio and still have to do exercises. The physio had a right go at me as she said it wouldn't have been so bad if I had seen a doctor straight away.

I fell and hurt my foot several hours before a holiday to Vietnam. Decided I wasn't missing a holiday due to being in A&E so flew anyway, bandaged myself up and hobbled round for 2 weeks on a horribly swollen and bruised foot. Still hurting when I got home, went to the doctor who said I'd likely fractured a metatarsal and could go for an xray if I wanted but as there wasn't any treatment other than giving it time I didn't see the point.
Took 12 months to stop hurting.
And I was probably lucky that I hadn't headed off to parts unknown with a more serious injury. But I was really looking forward to that holiday and was going regardless.
If it were me I'd give it a bit longer before heading to A&E. Depending on whether it gets worse, and your pain thresholds. But then I have to be dragged to medical services kicking and screaming all the way, so possibly not the best person to be getting advice from.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
