Ignore all of the, "some" garages that you went to. A very common fault on the car and the garage you used slung on an equally duff, scrappy axle replacement.0

I would imagine you are a back street car dealers dream come true if you truly believe what you have written. As long as it passes its MOT then it will be ok.
The MOT test only confirms that the "testable items" were functioning correctly at the time the test was conducted.
The minute you leave the MOT station, that piece of paper is worthless (and it pretty much tells you that in the small print on the test certificate itself).Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
If it looks odd from the rear then they could stop it and ask a specially trained traffic officer to come and examine it. It's not difficult to take a few measurements to see if it's out of line or not. Depending on how serious the problem is the OP might just get advised to get it fixed or they could, if deemed dangerous enough, prohibit the car from further use, until it's recovered and repaired.0

It will scrap the tyres very very quickly. You wasted £250 having a used part fitted.
Repair kits less than £70 per side and its like new after.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

they would impound the car and get an engineers report,
No they wouldn't, there is no power to impound a car for a defect, see my post above.0 -
