Thanks for asking, Dusty - he has managed to catch up with some sleep and taken the additional medication which he keeps for flare-ups, and he is feeling considerably better. They took one look at the weather yesterday morning (Sunday) and decided that going out was not an option, so I am sure the extra lie-in will have done him good.
I'm still up at silly o'clock because I've been waiting for the last eB@y sales and packing up parcels. I now need to fall into bed and sleep....0 -

Morning - no cheery wave right now as it's too bliddy early - definitely not feeling cheery - I need sleep!
I'm going to try and get loads done today after the weather chaos this weekend.
Went to work on Friday and got a phone call from OH to say the leylandii at the top of the drive had come down and taken out the power line, so have had no electricity for 36 hours until yesterday. Not the best weather to not be able to plug in the heaters. An articulated lorry overturned half a mile away too, so chaos all around. We decided to hunker down, got a roaring fire going and did some indoor camping with duvets, fleeces, sleeping bags and loads of coloured glass with tea lights in. DD whittled a stick and the she and her big brother sat and toasted marshmallows. I managed to get a book started which has been staring at me for yonks so all in all, it was a lovely time. It's amazing how ditching the technology frees up time in your life. I sorted through some cupboards and decluttered the bathroom and medicine cabinets, freeing up a couple of shelves. Also spent HOURS watching the lambs being born into this blustery weather - poor little things. There was a weak one who I was willing to live, but sadly he perished overnight
. I felt really attached to him for some reason and called him "Hero".
Pigpen - you should right a book - the antics of your loveable rogues always make me smile.
Kaz - sounds like your Strike Action is hitting home - keep it up - I'm with you all the way. Our kids stopped at a friends' house on Saturday night and when we went to collect them Sun morning, the first words out of DS's mouth were "Is the Xbox back on?". Not "Hi Mum, Dad - did you sleep well? Were you cold? Would you like a brew?" Grrrrrr. When we got home, we had them emptying, tidying and restacking the wood store before we'd let them do anything technical. Harsh, I know, but it needed doing and they need to understand that things don't just happen and you need to "earn" to be able to afford treats.
I hope everyone else has survived the weather without any misfortune.
Thanks for the lists Dusty and Natty - just posting it here ready for later.
