Welcome to the weekly Flylady thread. If you need help organising your week or getting motivated when it comes to housework then come and join us.
Every room comes back around next week so please don’t stress about catching up
These lists are only suggestions and not a must do list; you are more than welcome to post and follow your own lists.
Also adding a declutter mission each day will help to gradually clear the clutter and make flying easier.
A few of the basics before we start the week
Hotspots are areas where if one thing gets put there, loads of other things follow!
Daily routines are anything you need to do on a daily basis like washing, swish and swipe kitchen and bathroom, ironing, making beds, vacuuming high traffic areas, making meals etc.
Night-time routines are all things which make getting ready in the morning easier, preparing clothes for the next day, making lunches, swish & swipes of the kitchen and tidying the living room before you go to bed plus personals like shower/brush teeth etc.
Fling Boogie - stick on some loud music, grab a bin bag and whiz around the house finding items that can go out with the rubbish, recycling, for charity shop, basically anything that will stop it cluttering your home.
Swish and swipe/S&S means have a quick wipe over an area such as a sink or toilet to prevent the build up of dirt. This is usually done on a daily basis
HHE/HHC/HHI Half Hour exercise/challenge/ironing ... run around for 30 minutes to the Benny Hill music frantically cleaning exercising or ironing.. other music may be used if you prefer!

Thanks for the new list Dusty and thanks for last week Natty
Kazw I'm loving your strike updates! Sounds like the message is getting through.
Finished my ironing basket in 2 hours. Cooked my first ever roast beef dinner which went pretty well. All washed up and feeling tired now!
I'm in this week. This week is my last week in my current job and I'll still be looking after OH at home as he is on crutches following his recent knee surgery. So I will be pretty busy. My plan for this week is to do level one cleaning each day, and then do 15 mins decluttering per day in the living room (I'm trying to declutter as per official flylady advice!). Anything else will be a bonus.
Pyjamas, TV, and early night for me now.0 -
Thanks you for the new thread... I will soldier on

Thanks to Dusty for the new list and Natty for last week's.
I'm in again this week, still doing mainly my own thing because I'm trying to keep the whole house tidy all the time, but I always get inspired by the lists to do extra bits that I otherwise wouldn't have bothered with
It has been a mega weekend for eB@y sales, so I shall be glad of DH's help when I go to the post office tomorrow with all the parcels. We actually had to *buy* some bubble wrap  but what we don't use now will be useful when we move house. Two bulky items which were cluttering up the garage have been collected today, and the old Flym0 will be on its way to a new home very soon, as will two fancy hats and sundry pieces of clothing
Horse piddle visit for DH tomorrow, so that will take up most of the morning. Then we're off to see DGSs :j
Well done for holding out, Kazwookie - your strike has obviously had a positive effect! :T
Pigpen, you have obviously made the most of your weekend at home. I had to laugh at Dot and Squeak's capers with the plaster :rotfl:
Skint, you're welcome to a couple of spare spoons from me.
(((Hugs))) to mrsgibbs
Congratulations to Valli's DD on the new job. Hope your DS's GF gets home safely.
Here's wishing everyone a good week.0 -
Thanks for list. Big blitz today - well OH did more than his share - as Easter visitors arriving Thurs (my mum) and Fri (his brother). Few more bits of unrequited paper especially in kitchen, and few more things to "compact" in my office aka BIL's bedroom, but apart from that, hopefully it will just be last minute re-hoover and dust on Wed eve (while making a cake and cooking Thursday's eve meal). And of course, copious trips to refill the bird feeders if this weather keeps up. We've had minimal new snow today, but temp never above freezing so nothing has melted. Forecast ditto for next few days, I gather.
3 weeks and it's my birthday.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
I'm in, thanks v much for lists.
I'm wfh tomorrow so may get a little done, out all Tue then I'm finished till the following Tue. I had intended wed as finish decorating day, but not needed:T so I'm going to see my mum, and pop in on a friend, whose DS party we missed because of the snow.
Hoping we'll get some carpet this week too, in DS room...
Enjoy the rest of your evening, I've had my bubble bath, and off to bed to read...
