Weekly shop this week of £36.48. Really don't think I will come in under budget this month (which ends on the 25th), but it's been my first and I have learnt a lot! But £4 for next weeks shop just won't cover it!!!!!!!!!!

So hopefully next month I will be able to do it!

Off to update my signature :)

I've had the graze boxes before on free offers + just cancelled as soon as the free one arrived- it was easy to do on their website and they didn't attempt to take any more payments... didn't think much of the boxes like but at least they were free! :)

    xx

I got a little pop up sign that said I'd chosen the 'bin' option too often, I had to go back to 'Happy to try' -- I'd like £3.87 of apple and cinnamon flapjack please. :)

Good luck with moving house sheepappar
I hope it's as stress-free as it can be.
And I hope your wedding is amazing, what an exciting time for you. I wish I'd married years ago but we got there.
Managed a NSD today. Was tempted to go to supermarket but there's no need so am staying away.

My daughters weren't over impressed with trout for tea, even though they thought it was salmon, they said it was bland, which makes me smile, I know they'd far rather I marinaded it in Indian spices. As I got two packets at 79p each as opposed to £2.99 each, bland will have to do :) I cooked it far too long though.

I'm adding two more meals to my meal plan for this week as plans have had to change, I've got 3 Sainsbury's chicken pies in the freezer which cost the grand total of 19p for all of them. Will serve with mash, gravy, peas and Yorkshires -- real comfort food and will go down better than the trout and pasta!

Well I got my Clare Barry meat order tonight and am very pleased with it.
I ordered 20 chicken breasts, 20 pork loin pieces, and 4 things of beef steak mince. With delivery it all cost £57.96 (free del over £80 but I didn't want to spend that much).
I've portioned it all off and have 23 meals worth in the freezer and had one tonight. That is for two adults, a 4yr old and a 2yr old - all of which like their food.

I used tonight's chicken portions to make a big stirfry, serving sauce on the size so we could all taste the chicken, and thumbs up from everyone. Hope this helps someone!
If the rest of the meat is as good as tonight I will definitely be ordering again, it'll save me a fortune.

Hope everyone is having a very MSE month! :)

Still working down the presses here. Using up a lot of bits that have been lingering too long - who needs four jars of jam open at a time? FOUR! lol DH is being paid by the month in his new job so am going to be buying all our non-perishables for May in one giant shopping trip. Making lists of everything at the moment.

This week, anyway...box of eco loo roll, fruit and veg, cooking oil, burger buns and a pack of spaghetti. €34.49 to add to my total.

£8.11 spent today on some veg and ham today. Still just under half of the budget left and a little bit more than half the month gone :)

Tea tonight was supposed to be lamb done in the slow cooker but it was a bit fatty so have left it to go cold overnight so as I can skim off the fat tomorrow then reheat it. Instead we had bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and egg so no photo taken.

I also managed to sort the contents of one shelf of the freezer in the kitchen and make a list, aim to do the second shelf tomorrow after have taken mum shopping.

Bluegreen - your curry looks lovely but I must admit to finding korma too sweet for our taste, plus DH has diabetes so we have to be a bit careful.

Popped into Morrisons for loo rolls tonight but ended up spending £8.22 on YS bargains that were too good to leave on the shelf - all in freezer now. That's put me over but at least it was on stuff for the freezer and not just rubbish.

I'm on a bit of a roll today - on top of the marvelous meat order (we had a massive chicken stirfry tonight with only two breasts - very impressed) I've done an Appr0ved Foods order so will shortly be very well stocked up.
