    Wondering if you have an annual plan for boiler for do you just do it independently? If so have you always done it that way?

    I'm with you on the Olympics. I'd like to take the whole of August off too. It's brilliant.

    Well done on the decluttering :)

    Hi Ena
    I LOVE a cruise, they are just the best. You have to plan another one....I'm planning for my 40th as my nan will be 80 at the same time and I kniw she would love it.
    Top tip from the Marie Kondo boards (I will kon-vert you!) take pictures of your mementos. I had a pile of random postcards and notes and pics from my school days that I kind of didn't want taking up space but found hard to discard. Anyway obviously I have a smart phone so I just snapped pics and made a photo album for memories.

    Erm, I'm not quite sure really. This company fitted the boiler 3 years ago and I vaguely remember something about it being guaranteed for 5 years providing they serviced it yearly so I've just done that. I will have to try and find out though as I'm sure whoever buys the house needs to know ;)

    I used to have an independent guy before and he was cheaper but lacking in politeness. The guys from this other company have all been really good so I'm happy.

    Ah what a brilliant Olympic day, so glad I've had the day off to watch it all. I haven't watched much else, not even my beloved Emm3rdale :rotfl:

    Eeee I'm jealous that you're going to go on a lovely cruise. I would have loved one next June for my 40th but when I got some prices they were ridiculous. I normally go later in the year when it seems to be much cheaper, but sadly I was born in the wrong blimming month :rotfl:

    Haha kon-vert me! I must have already channelled MK as I did the photo thing a few years ago when I couldn't bare to part with my old broken telly I bought when I was 12 and the dirty newspaper delivery bag I used when I was a paper girl. I took a photo, took them to the tip, kissed them goodbye and haven't looked at the photos since :rotfl: Clearly meant very little to me :o

    I hadn't though of doing that for my old postcards and random notes passed around class to my friends so thank you. We used to play the countdown numbers game and then write silly messages to each other. I'm so sentimental getting rid of stuff like that, cause it's irreplaceable but I think it's time to let go. Let it go, let it go.......:rotfl:

    2 more days to work before yet another weekend :D

    Monday 8th August
    * NSD
    * PA survey
    * 104SB earned

    Tuesday
    * £30 on fuel
    * £4.08 in M0rrisons for milk, aubergine (they didn't have courgettes) and biscuits
    * P0pulusLive survey
    * 98p sweep into my overpayments account

    Today
    * £65 for my boiler service
    * £1.59 on a tester pot of paint for my bedroom
    * £50 deposit for a new bedroom carpet, total with fitting will be £225. It was a little more than I wanted to spend really but it was better quality than the really cheap ones, (obviously :p), and there was a 25% off sale so I think I did quite well. They're going to keep hold of it for me until my bedroom is decorated :T
    * Sorted out loads of old paperwork and old school / college / uni work. I've kept a few corking school projects where I got brilliant marks and then some truly terrible comments on some work :eek: Funny to look back at from time to time. I had a real problem spelling 'necessary' in a piece of work and in my 'what I could improve bit' I stated that I needed to learn how to spell 'necessary', which I spelt wrong again! The teacher wrote "good idea Ena". Haha brilliant. I can spell it now but I really can't spell occasionally......when I'm actually writing and not typing it! ;)

    I had a bit of a shock when driving today as I saw a woman on the wrong side of a motorway bridge barrier, poor thing. I pulled off at the junction to ring the police but then I saw them on the slip road so other people must have spotted her too. I can't imagine how terrible she must feel that she thinks that's her only option. No matter how down and depressed I've felt over the years, I really don't think I'd ever end my life, I just couldn't. I've always had a bit of hope that things will get better, that I will be properly happy, and not fake happy. Anyway, I checked online and thankfully it ended well so I hope she's getting the help she needs. Scary stuff.

    Night night :)

    Glad to hear that woman is okay. What a shocking thing to have witnessed.

    Re the school trinkets. I think I still have my English composition book because the English teacher had written. 'Excellent. Worthy of a woman's magazine' I'm sure she knew it was straight out of my mother's woman's magazine :)

    Thanks re boiler. I am starting to think ahead...

    You are a really good writer. Have you ever thought about it? Your writing stays with me sometimes like when you wrote about real happy v fake happy. Anyway I digress.

    I hope you are feeling a little more up, you sound as if you are

    Evening DIA. Yeah I hope that lady is ok too, I keep thinking of her.

    Haha, that's funny about your teacher, at least she didn't really let on or punish you. We had to draw a genie for a school competition only I couldn't draw so I got my dad to draw it for me then I coloured it in a bit and won a Mars bar. So ashamed :rotfl:

    Yeah there's probably lots of companies that do it. I used to have cover with H0meserv3 for my old useless boiler but part of the thing was having a yearly service. I was always a bit skint so I didn't always get it serviced when I should and then it broke and I had to pay for someone to come and service it only they couldn't service it properly cause it was broke. I got into a bit of a pickle really. Definitely get a plan ;)

    Aww thanks, I'm blushing :o I did once start writing a book when I was about 10. It was a thriller called Murder in Mind. Then the bbc stole my title for a series......the thieves! :eek:

    Thanks, I'm a bit up and down but just taking things a day at a time. I've been having counselling through work and she says I get a bit ahead of myself, and get overwhelmed so I'm trying to be calm and relaxed. It's not working that great really cause work is looming :(:p

    I've finally got around to sorting out my dreaded work stuff after doing well sorting my old school and college stuff last week. I've kept everything since 2003, courses I've been on, certificates, handouts, staff meeting minutes, you name it. It was all contained in a big box and 5 bags, mostly in some sort of order (probably luck rather than any organisational skill) and it was stored in my Ll0yd L00m blanket box. After buying this blanket box off eb@y a few years ago, it's now time to give it a makeover. I bought it with the intention of doing that but when I went to fetch it, the woman got a bit upset as it had been her mum's so I couldn't bring myself to paint it :o Well over the years, those memories have faded and my bedroom makeover is imminent so a snot green blanket box will not fit the look I'm going for :rotfl:

    Anyway, back to my work cr*p. I was only going to sort the really old stuff but once I started, I couldn't stop putting stuff in piles.......some for my shredder (anything with my name on), some for the work shred box and some to keep. The stuff that's left has gone neatly in one box and boy does it feel good :T All my shredding is done and the work shredding will be taken in in dribs and drabs. I'm sure there's more to get rid of but I'm glad with what I've done so far.

    I've honestly been decluttering for years :eek: I never seemed to get anywhere though, but clearly more stuff was coming in than going out ;) Well not anymore! The cupboard that's being turned into a wardrobe used to have 27 boxed in it, but now there's 5. I might try and get that down to 4 :D

    For the last few months, I've had one morning a week in the main office doing an admin type job for our team instead of my "normal" work which has been quite a nice break. I saw my boss the other day and she's asked if I'd like to extend it to all day. It's nice to have been asked and while I'm desperate to not have to do my "normal" job, I don't want to do it. It's further away from home so I'd get home half an hour later on a Friday, I wouldn't have time to do my own clinical admin but worst of all, I wouldn't get to see the guy I fancy who works in the same building on the only day I'm there too. And he can't fall in love with me if he never sees me now can he! ;) Although, we did have a bit of banter on Friday and I managed to diss his beloved football team so things are looking pretty shaky on that front :rotfl::p

    Meal plan for the week
    Monday - chicken flatbread and salad with roasted pepper and aubergine
    Tuesday - whole stuffed pepper with courgette, onion and cheese
    Wednesday - ham hock omelette
    Thursday - ham hock omelette again
    Friday - sausages and croquette potatoes

    I'll probably just need milk, biscuits, and maybe some cheese before next weekend. And cat litter. At least some sort of plan is better than buying whatever, which I have been doing. A long way to go yet to get this under control. DIA, I forgot to buy feta and quinoa as I was going to make patties so I'll get some next weekend. Quite excited to try it!

    Have a good week y'all :)

    I set the alarm to watch the 100m final and slept through but woke to a happy Murray!! and a happy Bolt!! Such a fab Olympics. I was wondering why I managed to see it all last time at reasonable hours then remembered it was because it was here in our country. :o

    Well done on the meal planning. The burgers work just as well with chickpeas and feta if you don't have quinoa...

    You reminded me about ham hocks. They are so good :)

    Haha yes it's very inconvenient having different time zones. I'm not sure if the next Olympics being in Tokyo will be any better either. There's only one thing for it.........we'll have to go in person :D All the supporters looked like they've enjoyed Rio and I bet it's a fantastic atmosphere so let's get saving :rotfl:

    Chickpeas :eek: Sorry, but yuck! :p I picked up some quinoa the other day so I just need the other bits tomorrow then I'll have a crack at making them.

    I cheat with the ham hock. T3sco do some already shredded in packs. Ald1 do them too but they have bits of apple in :eek: They are a lot cheaper than T3sco though so it's worth picking it out before I make an omelette. Ham and apple omelette.........:eek::rotfl:

    Hope you're having a lovely weekend. Will pop to your diary in a bit x
