Ah no
Sorry to hear of the car bother. Life has a way of knocking you back when you just think that you're starting to get somewhere. I will keep everything crossed that it isn't the worst case scenario...
I cried a lot with news of the cats vet bill - but I am determined to clear it. We will get there :TNot giving up

Had some bad news about the car dents and I'm just so gutted it's going to cost even more now. I've spent most of the day in tears. It's likely to be £600 worst case scenario which luckily I can pay back through my wages. But, I'm still gutted that it's £600 that isn't going towards my debts keeping me further away from leaving the job I hate. Totally trapped under all this debt. It's days like this I just think s*d it, get a consolidation loan or add it to the mortgage. But I can't do that. Not this time. So I've chosen chocolate and ice cream and a good old wallow instead. I'm going to ask work if I can pay it back over as long as possible so it doesn't have too much of an impact. Not quite sure they'll let me take 3 years but if you don't ask, you don't get. :rotfl::o
At least it's Friday tomorrow and it's a long weekend.
Ena, like the cat lady said, we will get there, little by little.
Just wanted to ask if you absolutely needed to get the stuff fixed on your car?
And yes, ask about spreading the payments at work. Who knows...

I used to work for a lease car company and sometimes the charges can be ridiculous, even in the thousands! Makes you wonder why these people don't just buy a car! Hope you can get it sorted relatively cheaply.0

Oh no, sorry to hear about the car trouble! Like everyone else has said though, it'll be alright in the end and you're proving how strong you are by going the chocolatey wallow route and toughing it out rather than trying to get another loan or add debt to your mortgage. That's amazing!0

We will, you're right. We'll keep plugging away cause it will be so worth it to say we have no debt!
Unfortunately it does need to be fixed otherwise the lease company will charge me more to get it fixed, plus they've said it goes straight to auction so it needs to be ready. The insurance people said I could leave it and hope the collectors see it as wear and tear but it's a gamble. At least this way, I can pay it through my wages. Hopefully over the 3 years lol

Oh goodness, I hope it's not thousands!I'm about to get my 4th lease car through work and they are progressively getting more expensive. It used to be a great deal but now I'm in position of not wanting the hassle and most of all debt of getting a private car. My friend privately leases and hers is more expensive which makes my lease look like a better deal. This would all be solved if I quit my job, and moved to the seaside where I could get a little bike with a basket on the front, and solve crimes. Maybe somewhere like Cabot Cove :rotfl::D
